I'm going to be on Harmony in August. I had thought about making reservations for this, but they had taken the balloon ride off my cruise planner for a couple of days. I just saw it back on cruise planner for $74. a person. I don't know if it's worth that much money.

I can't imagine that this is worth the money. I see it at a similar cost for my August Symphony cruise.

The ride is apparently 10 minutes only.

  2. On my upcoming Symphony cruise, I have a 12:00 PM flight from MIA.

Based on this, it looks like I'll be given a disembarkation time of 7:30 AM. Do I need to actually get off this early? I'm using one of Royal's transfers. If I want to be at the airport by 10:30-10:45 AM only, would getting off closer to 8:30-9:00 be cutting it close?

  3. Hi!

I've seen some old blog posts (January 2018) when Royal Caribbean was trying the expedited checkin process. Certain SetSail passes had an indicator that they were "eligible".

Now, on Symphony, if you checkin using the app, are you guaranteed expedited checkin? Or is there still some degree of selection/randomness?

    Thanks!

bwahahaha Merion Mom, …. I'm really not sure how you feel about this subject 😉

I wish I had asked here when I first looked at the roll call.  For the poster who called Royal Caribbean - all I did was google the sailing date and ship name and Quince Cruise and came across the travel agent who was planning this event.  If you are really worried - call the travel agent and find out how many people are part of their charter.

    Me, I'm stuck.

Interesting. The sailing before is actually also a "Quince cruise" (as is the next Symphony sailing this month).

I'm looking at a Central Park balcony.

  5. Thanks. Strange though. Last year, when I stayed on Harmony of the Seas, I definitely had the Johnny Rockets perk.

I can't seem to figure out why, but room 9631 last year was category 1S -- which is tagged as Boardwalk. Now, it's tagged as 2S -- which is Central Park. Any idea what happened?

In any event, looking at a category 2J room on Symphony this year. The Central park perks do seem better.

I just don't see why those details aren't on the main Royal website. I also had to use Google to find that pdf.

  6. From what I understand, on Oasis-class ships (including Symphony), there are perks for all Central Park & Promenade view & balcony rooms. Is this listed anywhere on the Royal Caribbean website? I can't seem to find it.

On my Harmony sailing last year, Central Park rooms had a rock climbing opportunity, lunch at Johnny Rockets and a free soda package. Curious if the same is on Symphony.

  7. Hi!

A question that I've been wondering. I often see pictures on Instagram (or in person) of Royal Caribbean staff eating at the specialty restaurants. If anyone knows, how does this work for them?

Do they pay out of pocket? Is this just a perk of the job?

No issue whatsoever with them doing this. I assume certain positions are more likely to have this opportunity than others.
