  1. Do people do this excursion through the ship or through Maya Chan?

Another vote for Maya Chan-Just back from there. Our first time to Costa Maya-not sure how to describe Costa Maya, the port is very modern and lot of shopping, actually almost more shopping than anywhere we have been. We truly enjoyed Maya Chan, not the best beach we have ever been but it is one of the most memorable and enjoyable things we have ever done. Hard to describe the experience but when you get out of the cab and the walkway sand is freshly racked to the road, you immediately now you are in for something special. Your get your own little hut with a bed, chairs and a hammock. Then they wait on you like no other place we have been. All this at a price that is all most hard to believe. Not sure what else is available in Costa Maya but I really don't think you have to look any further than Maya Chan.
  2. We have not used the MDR for some time now. We really enjoy the atmosphere in the Windjammer for dinner. However, lately it seems that more and more people are getting the same idea so it is not always as quiet as it used to be.

We had dinner in the WJ every night on our January Enchantment Cruise. We were very disappointed, most of the food was the same as lunch, there was maybe 1 entree and 1 appetizer from the menu the night before. The quality of the food was the same as at lunch. What really surprised us was that it was very crowded, most nights we had trouble finding a table. There was a large group on the ship from some sort of nutritional supplement company, they were from all over the world. I think they all ate in the WJ every night.

We had dinner at the Captain's Table in January on the Enchantment. Dinner was with the Chief Engineer. We are Diamond but have less that 100 pts. We were also staying in an inside stateroom. This dinner was on smart casual night.

  4. On our recent cruise on the Enchanment, we decided to have dinner in the Windjammer every night. We were very disappointed. They had maybe 1 item from the previous nights MDR menu. I thought the taste of the food and selection was better for lunch. IThe Windjammer was also very crowded at dinner which surprised me. For now on we will be eating dinner in the MDR.

  5. We could not swing flying to our cruise the day before this time. Because of this, I booked our flights through RCL since it cost the same as the airline. Our flight gets in about 3 hours before we have to be onboard. If we have delays and miss the ship, do they have to fly us to the first port? Thanks

  6. why do you have to eat at the buffet? You can dress casually in the main dining room as well. (unless its a formal nite - depending on which ship).

It's just our preference that if we don't have at least business casual clothing with us we would feel uncomfortable in the dining room.
