    Hey everyone!

question. We are sailing out on 11/4 on the Independence of the Seas.
just looked at pricing and cabin availability and prices are so much lower than we paid.
min the past they have either given shipboard credit or upgrades to compensate for the difference.

so I called today and they are saying that since it’s past the final payment date they won’t do ANYTHING. I’m a bit annoyed. I’ve paid $500 more than what it’s going for now (for a lousy interior too).

I’m waiting on a supervisor call back. But is this the new norm post Covid?

I was able to upgrade my cabin from an inside guarantee to a spacious panoramic ocean view for $200 more.

  2. I recently checked in and got a 10:30 boarding time. This was at 12:15am. At 8:30 am the earliest was 11.  Our last cruise I checked in at the same time and got 11:30 (different ship), That time was still available 3 weeks later. I checked almost everyday to see if and earlier time became available but that was always the earliest.  So you never know how long that early time will be available.

There has been zero evidence someone stole her voucher. What has been stated by the OP is she misplaced her purse. The purse was found and turned in. The purse was missing a voucher the OP is certain was in the purse prior to misplacing it. For some reason, many have quickly assumed the voucher was stolen...skipping over all other possibilities... Some other possible outcome examples to consider... voucher was lost by the OP prior to misplacing her purse or maybe the voucher fell out of the purse on the way to being turned in by the good Samaritan...in addition, the OP may have mistakenly forgot she had previously cashed voucher and lastly a voucher may never have existed. That being said, the correct response would be to wish the OP well in finding resolution to her issue.

She could have pulled her hairbrush or something else out of her purse and the voucher came out with it.

    ”Ticket In Ticket Out”
I worked on this technology back when it was implemented

it is very clever and traceability was one of the key factors for using it and added a layer of security for the Casinos

There were many other reasons for its introduction as well 😉

    Happy Days!

I have a question not directly related to the thread. If my husband puts a ticket in the machine along with his card and then decides to move on but leaves the money in the machine for me and I put my card in the machine and play. I cash out eventually, how is this traced

I used my card to register at the machine - the casino manager checked the slot machine which I was playing at, so could see the voucher which I took out of the machine and the voucher generated. so they can trace it back to me.. their argument though is that a voucher is the same as cash, and it is my word against the other person that I didn't just drop the voucher, and someone else picked it up (rather than taken from my actual bag).. sorry yes, I had lipstick, hairbrush, a telephone charger, a credit card, a couple of receipts.. nothing valuable apart from the voucher.. the bag was also valuable.. weirdly that was handed in

I believe the vouchers don't have any identity to them besides the amount of the voucher.

You said earlier that you only had lipstick and a hairbrush in it.
