The theatre is blue, so that would be QE (QV's is red). On the drink, I'll guess Bombardier beer? 🙂

So Host Hattie and I were both very close. I hadn't realised that QE had been to Izmir. But having now looked it up in Wikipedia, I learned that it is Turkey's third largest city after Istanbul and Ankara, with a population of nearly 3million. From the photos on google, it looks like it would have been a very interesting port day.

Hi bluemarble. Picture number 2 is of the tug Kizkulesi, which has its registration in Turkey. Marinetraffic.com currently shows the tug location in the Turkish port of Izmir, but I doubt that QE has ever been there. QE has been to Istanbul many times, though. So I'll guess Istanbul?

Correct. Those tall chairs look nice, but I didn't think they were very comfortable.
The first time I saw those tall Golden Lion chairs, I thought they would be an ideal place from which to hatch an evil plan for world domination. But unfortunately I found them very uncomfortable also, and on all subsequent visits I quaffed my pints of bitter and formulated evil plans from other seats.

Yes, it would. Once again my post has turned out to be easy. But then I suppose someone from Brisbane might be able to recognize it without difficulty. Well done.
Yes, I had an unfair "home port" advantage. But there were some good clues in the photo that narrowed the possibilities. The truck was going clockwise through the roundabout, on the left side of the road. And QM2 was docked near conveyor belts used for offloading bulk cargo ships. Just out of frame of the photo, to the left of QM2, are the concrete grain silos.
The grain terminal is hardly the most scenic of locations, and Brisbane lags far behind ports like Sydney, Auckland, Vancouver, etc. that have deep water passenger cruise terminals in the centre city. Brisbane's new cruise terminal, located at Luggage Point near the airport, is just about finished. I went out to have a look a few weeks ago. Unfortunately it will open to no ships. 😞

Welcome to the game, Underwatr.
That's outside Charlotte Amalie at St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands.
I'm a bit puzzled as to while QM2 is at anchor. Were there so many ships there on this occasion that Havensight and Crown Bay were both full?
I recall reading somewhere that QM2's draft is too deep for the Havensight facility at St. Thomas. Perhaps Crown Bay was occupied, leaving the only alternative to anchor and tender.

That is the clock on the stairs of QE's Royal Arcade, between the casino and the Golden Lion. I consulted it regularly when leaving the pub in the evening, to make sure I would not be late meeting the wife for dinner.
An art deco style on the numbers, and also the year 2010, QE's launch year.

I concur with Host Hattie. Hamburg, at the HafenCity terminal. Clue is the ferris wheel behind QM2.

Guessing from the Godiva, this is on QM2. Sir Samuel's?
Spot on! It was delicious.

I found them quite nice. Not something to lie back in and have a snooze, but a good place to read or have a coffee, and enjoy the sea views.

These are the comfy chairs in the Winter Garden (I think QV because of the blue carpeting).

Obviously the globe in the library, but which ship? QM2's library has different bookshelf doors, if I recall correctly. So either QV or QE. I'll go with QE - I think that's QE carpeting. Although I remember the globe being closer to the deck 2 doorway entrance, rather than near the deck 2 travel books. Maybe the librarian moves it around.

@bluemarble your image processing skills are amazing. It is indeed Aomori, with the triangular building at the cruise pier entrance providing a key clue. Photo taken on 7 May 2019, one of two Japan port calls on the journey from Tokyo to Alaska.

Will I need a tux or will a black suit be sufficient?
If don't want to bring your formal gear along, you can also hire one aboard, either for specific nights or for the duration of the voyage.
A caution that all clothing, both formal and informal, shrinks considerably by the end of the voyage, due exclusively to the presence of salt air.

The first one is Sydney - thanks to the Opera House.
Correct! As you say, the clue is the sail of the Sydney Opera House, rising like a shark fin from QV's deck 9 pool.

Also correct! Hobart was the next port call on the voyage.
Virtual treasure hunt.

There was another drink besides the beer? Who knew? 🙂
