Like many others here, we have thousands of pics.

We took a Pub Crawl tour when on a Viking River cruise going thru Cologne Germany. It's wasn't a "HEY - LET'S PARTY" type of tour. We had a fun group of a dozen or so, hit 3 or 4 pubs and had one drink in each. The guide told stories and gave history of the city as we walked. It was alright. Glad we did it but wouldn't do it again. As you've said above, you probably WILL have more fun on your own just winging it. FoW is probably a must stop in, other than that, I'd say research pubs if you're really interested in pubs and hit the ones that tickle YOUR fancy. We did venture out on our own in Sydney and took a water taxi over to the Taronga Zoo. A pretty neat set up. Take the ski lift to the top, then tour the zoo as you walk downhill all day long.

We were a few cabins down from the LR and never noticed anything. I can't imagine the elevator area being that noisy. Possibly only when the dinner bell rings, or the show lets out. And even then, can't imagine it being more than 6-7 minutes worth of traffic. I wouldn't put too much weight on it.

In my Navy days worked 0000-0800 for many many moons. One of the first days off in Gaeta, Italy (homeported there, USS Puget Sound), I hit shore after work to the closest bar at around 0930. Thought I'd be there alone and just hang for awhile. Found out the place was packed with us night owls. Got to know many other sailors on the same sort of shift. Next thing you know, we saw the day workers wandering in (looked at watch, reading around 1630-ish). Time to head on back to get some shut eye as the "day drinkers" came out. In other words... "SHIFT CHANGE". See you guys tomorrow morning.

I was thinking the same thing. Coulda saved big bucks to stare at your phone at home.

And todays 15 seconds of fame goes to… Back here in the US, every Sunday morning there is the Willie Giest show. A Sunday morning show with news of the week. One segment they do every week towards the end is show pictures of people with their coffee mug from places near and far. This morning they showed a couple that was… “Going under the Centennial bridge in Panama on a World Cruise.” They didn’t name the cruise line and I missed the names. Do they look familiar? (bottom left)

Believe me, so do we. The adventure ahead, would pretty much equal, connecting up with all the friendships we made.
