I am getting CAA insurance and they will give you up to 10 million for emergency medical if you are fully vaccinated. They just don’t cover interruption insurance.
This is awesome news! I had talked to CAAbut have preexisting medical issues and was going to call for time frame and to see if they cover with the existing advisory

So I was reading the Canadian cruise critic and people were talking about Celebrity and Royal covering quarantine expenses if you got covid. I thought I should look again under NCL’s Sail Safe and under “should I test before I cruise” and there it is again! There wording is assistance with quarantine costs if you tested 96 hours ahead of embarking. I am soooo freaking relieved!! As a Canadian, I can’t get covid insurance for interruption on a cruise.
Would you have insurance if you ended up in a hospital with covid related illness with NCL using the negative PCR pre cruise. Or do you feel that NCL would cover that? That’s my concern. My insurance won’t cover me with the advisory for Canadians in place so I will be looking for another coverage or hoping the advisory gets lifted.

Hi, this was also our dilemma as well and I can tell you what I was told ny NCL
all our FCC was to be applied before December 31, 2021. If we didn’t apply it at our next November cruise we would lose it. I asked whether they were going to have extensions and she had told me no because they would have to apply for them at this point and they weren’t playing for them. Then I asked if I had to cancel the November cruise and moved it to an April cruise could I then switch it she said if I was going to pay cash not future cruise credit because the future cruise credit would have expired this December. Hope that makes sense
I had my sister call and ask the very same questions, her representative said yes we can switch it up as long as it was before pay by date. So go figure
-
Ok, just got off the phone with a rep …..yes Serengeti all must be applied by dec 21 and the issue then comes for cancellation for any in 2022 where our book by date was dec21……if we have to cancel and rebook must be by nov 21 or all FCC IS INVALID AS EXPIRY DATE HAS PASSED
at this point there is NOT talk of extending it passed dec 21 because they then have to apply for an extension but all those we are holding will be expired.
so they get you.
here’s to hoping we don’t have to cancel again. -
Serengeti, are you saying ALL of my future credit needs to be applied before dec/21?
-
Rob, exactly!! I’m not sure the answer. My TA said it’s good till 12/22
but I’m feeling very uncomfortable with this. I don’t want to be in danger of losing it all.
not sure a rep at NCL can clarify but I will try. -

The expiration dates of your FCC is shown on your MyNCL account.
Yes, it expires dec 31/22 but it has a book by date of dec21/21. So am I to use all the FCC by the “ book by date” ? That’s my concern…..

Not sure if this one has been suggested as we are ar over 100 pages….but I had to reschedule my cruise. We have insurance with Ontario CAA, When I called them about adding it to the new cruise I asked about cancellation insurance and medical insurance if it covered covered related illnesses now, she replied that if you were fully vaccinated you are then covered for Covid related illnesses now. I didn’t get into the details because I still have a year to go till the next cruise.

AnyoAnyone choosing to cancel will receive a full refund in the form of a future cruise credit to be used for sailings that embark through December 31, 2022.ne choosing to cancel will receive a full refund in the form of a future cruise credit to be used for sailings that embark
So we had to cancel and rebook our March cruise on the POA, we rebooked it till November 22.
as you can see above, we have until December 31 to use our FCC.
Am I right in understanding that I can use my FCC up until March 31, 2022? I started to panic thinking that the book by date waDecember 20 21 which I’ve done. Now I have the rest of the FCC other than the down payment, do I have to use the rest of the FCC before December 31, 2021?

Thank you so much for the pictures. Do you think there is any noise difference between deck 8 vs deck 9?

Hi, looking at switching if it’s beneficial. We are in 8516 large balcony but 9516 is open if I want to switch. Does anyone know if this would be a benefit? As in quieter deck etc?
thanksGracelyn

The title of the thread says it, even if that was not the OP's intent. "POA cabins all sold out till End off May? Really?"
Yup. My bad. Only suites I should have said were available. But those are way out of my budget. Lol

OP did not say that all cabins were sold out. There are no insides or ocean views available until July.
Or balconies which is what we were looking for. Ok well, we will take a wait and see approach

Awe, yes we are looking into a March5/22 sailing so maybe ..it’s all sold out by people rebooking. I was worried complawyer, that it may mean that. I had heard until January but didn’t know date. I’ve never been on a ship so sold out that far out!
I wonder if they will extend cancellations into March….hmmmis she being renovated?

So, looking at booking the POA in winter but when I go on the NCL site all cabins except Suites are sold out till end of may. Any idea what’s going on with Hawaii cruising?

When are you going? Car rentals are crazy expensive, and probably won't get better
We will be cruising March 22. Looking at rental cars and there are options at airport or airport road? Same?
-
We have an overnight docking but think we just want a car for one day.
where would be the closest. We are there on Sunday so Maui Beach hotel is closed.
if we decide to keep it over night where do we park and not get towed. We will have a handicap sticker as well for parking.
thanks. Gracelyn

We were scheduled on that route March/20. It was cancelled but prices tripled. Looks like a beautiful cruise. I am hoping like you. We just booked the POA for November. We rebooked from March /22 but I wondered if it would go as well
