I made this video. I'm also a poster here on Cruise critic

The new premium pkg has not filtered down to the ship, so who knows!?

we are those people who save all that pesky paper, so I will keep dailies and the future cruise flyers and post when I get home. The WiFi is slow, so hard to post pictures.

Sorry about shows, haven’t made one yet.! New entertainment crew joined in FLL, so we have not had a production show yet? Don’t know if those things are related? We did hear the violinist outside her 7 and 9 shows, she was good - classically trained violinist plays Devil went down to Georgia. The band Nu Image is also quite good.

Oh, I hope Nu Image is onboard in September when we cruise. They were on Infinity last December for our first cruise and I'll always remember them playing great music at sailaway and throughout.

I see you have been a smart cruiser for some time. How has your experience been with an online TA and what kind of perks can one expect? I paid about 8k for 4 next summer on the Apex in Europe and was offered an additional $500 obc. is that good or should I shop around?

I'd say look for about 10-12% if you can.... I have only used a TA once and my return back in OBC was about 11% of my cruise fare. Maybe more experienced cruisers can weigh in.

Want to give myself some time to shop around within the 60 day period. No complaints about our current TA but still want to see what else is out there. Any suggestions from the OP, greenymac and FreestyleNovice...?

I consulted different big TAs until I got an offer that was just above and beyond the others. One offered a cash card, but one offered OBC and on top of that helped me save another $200 off our rates. All in all the switch was +$800 for us. I was more than happy.

Don't tie yourself to one TA....different TA's often have very different offers...some are better with Celebrity, others with Princess, etc.  We currently have cruise bookings through 3 internet TA's.

I misspoke, I meant I will be using TA from here on out, not this specific one. I shop around on everything.

Depending on this or next month's offers you mean?

Regarding your question; I tend to be a smart cruiser. Most of the times and very happy.

I booked with Celebrity and then started wondering about TA benefits and asking around. I'm glad I did because I got and extra $600 of onboard credit in addition to the OBC from Celebrity itself.  If you don't at least look into it, you're giving away money. I will use this TA from here onward.

  7. I have no idea how I was able to book 1233 on Equinox. I was in a sky suite 6305 aft, and was just kind of looking around and saw on the floorplan that 1233 looked like it had a really nice sized balcony. I did a little research and was surprised such a prime location and balcony was available. We snatched it up quickly. Hoping I made a good choice!

Where did you see the posting on the post revolution royal suite?  Only saw old videos on youtube

I also saw what is being referred to on social media. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say which one, so I'll refrain.

You seem open minded. Are you worried that someone's glitter might fall on you, and then people will think you are one of them?

Personally, my only worry is if my wife finds glitter on me, she's gonna wonder how it got there!!! Back on topic, I don't understand why people get so bent out of shape about how others live their lives...

  10. I was blocked also from looking at prices on the one I had booked. I was able to look at other prices and stock for other cruises, but not the one I had booked. I tried on chrome, same thing. Went Incognito and boom , was in.

Seems really REALLY shady. That's not a coincidence.

I have an upcoming Celebrity cruise that I booked through the Celebrity website. With that booking I got classic beverage package, gratuities and $100 obc. Wondering if anyone knows if it would be worth it, or even possible, to try to transfer this booking to a travel agent?

    Thanks!

    Do it!

I asked exact same question last Thursday here.  I got a great deal and that's all I will say.

Did this on Infinity in December in Tuscan Grill on our last day before disembark. It was a great meal. Also, it was only $25pp.

I just returned from my first Celebrity Suite on Millennium and had a wonderful time. I normally sail Royal Caribbean but was blown away by Celebrity's service, staff and food as compared to Royal.  Looking to book another one but had a question about butlers.  We saw a butler a total of 4 times the whole trip.  He did bring coffee in the morning while we were sleeping as we had requested.

    1. On the first day where we requested a blanket and my husbands jacket pressed.

    2. Seating to the show

    3. In the retreat lounge when he was talking to another couple.

    4. When he brought the room service for breakfast (later than the specified time) which was ice cold and could not be eaten.

We had to give the tip envelope to the concierge since we did not see him on the last day.  He never called to check on if we needed anything, bring any special deliveries of food or snacks etc. I had requested extra towels that took 2 days to get there as well as a footstool for the balcony since the balcony only had 2 lawn chairs.

Is this normal?  I have read on the boards about the excellent service and attentiveness that they bring.

I'd be a bit pissed about that level of service after paying for a Celebrity Suite. We are in our first CS in September so I'm curious to see responses. I'd still tip, but not as much as I would for good service.

Our concierge room is completely redone.

New carpet, draperies, table,  sofa reupholstered, new mattress, bedding and plush bath towels. Our hump cabin has new balcony furniture but no foot stools. Asked for 2 loungers, no problem they appeared 15 minutes later.

Everything looks refreshed and many areas have a new ship feel.

Staff has been wonderful, great service !  Music abounds and excellent artists.

Had dinner last night at Sushi on Five, unlimited dining for $30pp. It was a very enjoyable evening. Tonight we are checking at Le Petit Chef. Have been to it on the Silhouette twice and thought the food quality was excellent.

Sushi on 5 unlimited for $30pp? Put that in my veins immediately, please.
