Not sure about your specific cruise by my Epic cruise last month had a departure time of 7 or 9pm from San Juan but boarding time was the usual Noon (as stated on docs but actually was around 1130). What time does the ship get into port in the morning, that would be the driver if its later than normal...
They have certainly changed the way you select a cabin from the last time I did it pre-covid. This last go around it assigned me a room and it took me forever to figure out how to change it...and I honestly can't remember exactly how I did it now it was so convoluted haha. I think I clicked on the stateroom number it assigned and then went from there....
If memory serves there was a very small locker room at the fitness center on the escape, and possibly a steam room but it’s been years since I was on her so it might be my imagination
Yep I had heard rumors about the sensors and tried it but they were disabled last week. Like was stated above the only sensor that worked was the glass elevator from pool deck
Not sure what you mean “hijacked’” just got off the epic yesterday in the haven. They had one elevator “special service” for the haven for port debarcation and embarcation and other than that there were never any elevators reserved for only haven guests.
Arrived just about 10am, one line to drop luggage that took about 2min and then a separate Haven security line that took about 10-15 mins then to a holding area with coffee, juice snacks… currently still there, I figured we would checkin before this but apparently not haha.
Will do! In San Juan now, and have a 10am checkin time tomorrow morning! Have the Haven for the first time but hear conflicting reports on if that actually means anything in San Juan for checkin…
Boarding will still be the normal time. I’m leaving out of San Juan tomorrow and listed departure time is 7pm and eDocs say boarding is at Noon (what they always say)
That far out who knows haha. I think when Epic first started sailing out of San Juan it was a mess but then eventually got worked out but apparently the first few out this season were back to being a mess...a lot of it is dependent more on the Port workers more than it is NCL to be honest...
Having spent a good bit of time in Norfolk/VA Beach area I don't know what there would be to do there on a cruise port stop really especially in May, the water will still be pretty cold for a beach day....don't think you are missing much
Ive heard its been bad the last couple cruises out but I somebody said those times there were two ships in port at the same time. I leave Sunday and its supposed to be just EPIC in port that day...I'll try and let folks know how it goes.
I'll never risk getting in the day of a cruise regardless of when it leaves. Boarding will the normal time even with the later departure. I do fly out same day the cruise ends usually, if I miss that flight oh well an extended vacation haha.
