Just got to our stateroom (11:30am); unfortunately this damn red eye from SFO got her at 8am; and they wouldn’t let us in the door until 10am!
we just finished watching the safety video and we’re heading down to muster station to “check in”.
here’s a list of the buffet specialities per night.
I can attest to this
we do a princess cruise every thanksgiving and it’s always been..show up when you want, show your medallion and get on the ship. I don’t even know our boarding time last year, but we got to port Everglades at 9am and got right on the ship.
I might have answered my own question unless anyone has any better specifics?

For this most recent batch of medallions; they ACTUALLY shipped through a company called DSV (someone else found this, not me)
all in the same shipping container from Singapore to Miami. (To be picked up at the port)
So YES, technically they DID get “shipped”..just not to YOU, to the PORT.
I think we’re going to stay in Covent Gardens (where we stayed before and enjoyed the area).
thanks for the tip about taxi and rail service! REALLY appreciate it!
(Haven’t read the entire thread)
we’re booked on a princess cruise out of Southhampton next June; having been to London/northern England before, the train struck me as the best option (we enjoyed riding from London up to Leeds)
Could this same thing be used to go from London -> Southhampton? (I assume the Waterloo Line)
When we were there last Ubers were easy to get..but can the same be said about Southhampton? (Ie: ride the train down to Southhampton then transfer from Train Station to Port using Uber)
thanks in advance!
Fligster! Haven’t seen you post on VMB lately so I had wondered what you were up to..cruising now 😛 (I’m Timspeed over on VMB)
debark is ALWAYS a nightmare in LBC..I’ve always just chalked it up to California idiotic people.
This will be our third Princess thanksgiving cruise (would have had another but the shutdown)
We really don’t notice that many kids on board..but the CD DOES call it out every time (“There is THIS many junior cruisers onboard this week”)
We bid the minimum on an upgrade from a BB balcony to a “deluxe balcony”…any idea when I should know if I got it or not? (It was $35 pp, for a 7 day thanksgiving on the Sky)
I can’t remember (went on Sky Princess for last thanksgiving)..but IIRC, the buffet had a Ramen Station on the First? Night..anyone know for certain what night it is? (On a 7-day voyage)
We’re big ramen fans and would definitely like to have it over eating in the MDR or “regular” buffet.
(From what I recall, it’s where they do the “Steamers” pop-up)
Thanks in advance!
So I’m trying to book a reservation at crown grille using the MedallionClass App..but it wants to bill my credit card; we have a free speciality dining included in our booking…so how do I make the reservation and use it?
Not on RC; but on Carnival we’ve hit $10k (grand jackpot) and they gave us a strap of 100’s
another lady flopped a heart Royal for $30k..gave chips at the table then cash at the cage.
If you just want to go to the Mendenhall glacier; go to the little “booths” by the base of the Mt Roberts Tramway; $40 each and it’s a direct shuttle over there and stay as long as you like (multiple shuttles running)
literally haha; they’ll be a guy screaming “GLACIER SHUTTLE!” Just ask him
