Since I have been canceled out of 2 previous seaplane tours out of Ketchikan (on days that I did not think the weather was real bad), it surprises me that this tour was not cancelled. Of course, conditions vary greatly by area and it may have been much better elsewhere.
In any case, I think that HAL should allow passengers to cancel for any reason at any time on certain tours, such as small planes, helicopters, etc.
I think that is a great suggestion

Additional OBC is always offered when booking onboard between Royal and X. All other sales and promotions will also be applied.

There are hundreds of threads on this subject. We always transfer to a TA within 60 days of the booking. Some TAs give 8-10% of the cruise cost back in OBC. Seems like a no brainer but some will warn of problems

Never seen one on X.

Does anyone know if a Vista suite on the Volendam has a tub?? That's my wife's preference, I prefer showers

We are happy with the overnight

Booked our 1st HAL cruise thru our TA, saved $700 over the price directly with HAL. Never understand not using TAs, a 10% savings is great. TA is very responsive, never have had an issue

Just the fact that service has been inconsistent is an indication that it has slipped a notch. With the decrease in some service personnel, this is not really surprising.

No one seems to know, we remain in the dark, just like these Caribbean over nights.
As one poster mentioned, some of the new over night Islands have Casinos so they would not be pleased at the Casino being opened on the Ship. Having said that, it would be difficult to believe if a Ship is docked at a Port for two days that they haven't been given a special licence.
We still have had no word from Celebrity or our T.A. regarding the removal of a Port so we are in the dark on that also. It would appear from our Roll Call that we are far from being alone in that regard.
Just check the current itinerary on their website. No need to remain in the dark.

I have a related question. Wouldn't it be significantly less expensive to remain in a balcony cabin and book specialty restaurants every night? I suspect that food quality is much better, everything is prepared to your order, and there is more variety with 2 or 3 restaurants on every ship.
Thanks in advance.

Really a shame. Seems very strange that the people affected by high crime, poverty, etc. keep the same types of politicians in office forever

I would take B every time.

Did it many years ago in St. Maarten, it was a blast

Why not look around when you get there and decide which venue looks better. May be as simple as the availability of a table overlooking the water

Numbers 1&2 are no issues at all, no need to get in line at 7:30. Not sure about #3

I do not think any major Caribbean port is "very" safe after 6pm. I intend to see Curacao during the evening but will remain vigilant in only the tourist areas

Come on people, 2 weeks in the Caribbean on a beautiful ship and all that some can do is complain about one port change. Time to let it go.

You get what you pay for. HAL is less than half of a premium line. If anyone thinks otherwise, you are living in the distant past.

Don't need to hold it up. Segways balance themselves. The tour makes several rest stops and stops at the lighthouse for about 15 minutes so you are not standing still all the time. Lots of fun and easy to ride.

We did a Segway tour in Antigua and had a great time. Best port stop on that cruise

Why do so many posters play cost accountant and worry about cruise line revenue. Most cruise companies are very profitable, they don't need your help. Did you ever consider that the feedback from customers suggests that overnights are desired to enhance the experience of being in the Caribbean to enjoy its nightlife?

what happened RJRPAR? The boat seems crowded. I'm afraid the speedboat will be too rough for my wife with MS.
Speedboat is pretty rough. Spencer was running late on a very busy day and some passengers got into a shouting arch with spencer, just an unfortunate day for everyone. Spencer generally gets good reviews

Just booked thru resortforaday.com for 2/25/16

There's a lot of things in life I don't want to do, but I do, because it's the right thing to do.
You posed a question, I gave you an answer. I don't need you preaching to me about what to wear for dinner.

Some people don't want to carry an extra suitcase around Alaska for 2 weeks to wear one sports coat to a 2 hour dinner.
Departure from FLL
in Holland America Line

I would book the 11:00. Of course the later flight is safer, but who wants to sit an extra 3 hours at an airport. 95% of the time you can be at FLL by 8:30
