  1. Protected true, but inconvenienced a lot if you have to rebook a flight.
  2. Bids are still open on all 3 cruises. I'm not going to try and bid on anything else, I just bid to get out of the inside cabin. I did cancel the bid just in case they decided to downgrade me (that would be my luck). It says you can cancel up to 1 day before your cruise provided your cc hasn't been charged. I don't like that kind of system. I'd like to see my bid approval before they charge my cc. Either way, I'll stick with my balconies (they were all booked under a casino comp, so I'm just happy to have a balcony anywhere on the ship). I'm sailing solo, so I prob won't be hanging out much on my balcony anyway, but at least I can look out at the ocean (I'm not a fan of being inside with no window).
  3. I've got 2 rooms Port Side and 1 on Starboard. They did not notify me that I didn't get the bid, but since they assigned me a balcony and I only bid on an ocean view, my assumption is that it wasn't accepted. Yes, I'm lucky to have gotten such a good upgrade.....wasn't expecting it, that's for sure.
  4. I sailed the on Ruby in June and am going to be on her again in November to Hawaii. Have 2 bookings on the Sapphire in January. Personally for me, any Princess ship is better than Carnival....but that's just my opinion. I've got 10 Princess cruises on the books so obviously I enjoy sailing with Princess 🙂
  5. Maybe I get so many casino offers because they have tracked me and they see how much I'm in there 🙂. I love the Medallion.
  6. I'm booked on Discovery (3 B2B's, Oct 1-22) and it's been sold out for weeks. All 3 rooms on GTY (2 balconies and 1 inside). I bid on an outside (lowball) but didn't get it. My rooms were assigned this week......ended up with 3 different rooms (all balconies) on the Dolphin Covid Deck. All 3 rooms were better categories than the ones I guaranteed.......that is if you don't mind being on a previous covid floor. Not sure why they gave me a free upgrade to a balcony from an inside without a bid?
  7. I'm another aft (1st choice) or forward (2nd choice)......For me it's all about the rock'n and roll'n. I want to sleep like a baby. I also have 3 guarantees that were just given room assignments. All are mid-ship (my luck)....LOL
  8. I went to prebook a 75 min massage on Discovery (sail date 10/1/22) and the price was $199 for a sea day and $199 for a port day and embarkation day $199. The current price of a 75 min massage on Sapphire (sail date 1/22/23) the prices are $169 for a sea day, $159 for a port day and embarkation day is $149 Do the prices on spa appts always go up closer to sail date? It's not just a couple of dollars here. Oh, there were lots of spa appts open on the Discovery, so it's not a supply/demand issue.
  9. Thank you all for such detailed answers, it's exactly what I needed in a clear and concise format. BTW: Discovery October 1st thru the 22nd......CA Coastal/Mexican Riviera/CA Coastal
  10. I'm on a B2B2B.....is that how I write three cruises back to back? When the Diamond cruises got cancelled out of San Diego, I scrambled to find something. I ended up booking on Discovery. Problem was/is, the cruise was pretty much sold out and I've got 3 different balcony rooms assigned to me. I had no choice, I had to go with the GTY cabins. So, this leads to my questions. 1. What do I do with my luggage? I pack it up and then what? 2. Can I remain on the ship in LA or do I need to get off and come back on? 3. Do I need a new Medallion for each cruise since my cabin # is different? 4. Do I need to recheck in? 5. Anything else I forgot? Thanks B2B wizards!
  11. That's a bummer about the premier drinks....I'd be ticked if I purchased the pkg and couldn't find something/anything in the premium cost category. Sorry to hear the BFF is being so rude. I took a group of 10 high school graduates on a cruise after my daughter's HS graduation (5 boys and 5 girls).....I know, what was I thinking. This was pre cell phone era (or at least the kids didn't have them). I had a pre-cruise meeting at my house and laid out the ground rules (with the parents) before we sailed. They had to arrive at dinner on time, and be appropriately dressed....and a few other odds and ends. I needed all their tip $ before we sailed, etc. Things went well until the boys figured out how to smuggle clear tequila back onboard in a water bottle. The dumbasses all got so drunk they were all sick on the last day. They thought tequila and pear juice would be a good combo. They all still talk about it....and my DD will be 40 next Monday.
  12. Our flight was 12:10 and we were on the Princess Transfer. They were already boarding by the time we got to the airport. We were on one.of the early transfers. I think 11:15 is cutting it way too close. Maybe if you have TSA precheck you might make it by the skin of your teeth, but I wouldn't attempt it.
  13. Pre covid it seemed like it took much more play to get a free cruise. Post covid, I've been getting offers about every 2 weeks, and the seem to be better offers (and I gamble less). I used to get an offer for a balcony and maybe $500 in Freeplay. Now I'm getting mini suites, $1000 in Freeplay and Princess Plus. On our last 10 day cruise I reached a little over 20,000 pts and was offered a free massage, got a bottle of wine, chocolate covered strawberries (was also offered a free specialty dining for 2 but they were sold out). Pre covid I know I reached 30,000+ on a cruise (it's dangerous when I go with my BFF) 🙂. Also pre covid, a lot of Vegas and Indian casinos were giving away free cruises based on your amount of play. I received cruises on Norwegian, Holland America and Princess.
  14. I have to agree with the OP. If I'm laying out by the pool in my bathing suit, the last thing I'd want to have happen is to appear on TV..... I can see it now......have a crew member go to that overweight lady in the pink bathing suit and serve her a dirty banana, that'll boost the ratings. That's reality TV.
  15. 1.Login to the Princess website (I use a PC) 2. Go to "My Account" 3. Click on "Profile Information" 4. Edit "Receive Offers & News" 5. I have all mine checked with the exception of the SMS 6. Save
  16. Check here to see if you have any cruise offers: 1. Log into Princess 2. Click on "My Account" 3. Click on "Future Cruise Credits" 4. Go to Onboard Credits and click on the drop down menu "View Details" This should have your offers. Call the Casino Dept ‭(888) 772-6697‬ and they should be able to look it up as well. Hope this helps
  17. Update: As of right now, the verbiage has been changed on my Travel Summary. Here's what is now showing up as of 11:40 a.m on 9/20. This now makes more sense.
  18. When we were on the Majestic last October, they were filming and taking pictures of people gambling (not passengers). The models (I guess that's what you would call them) were at a blackjack table dressed to the 9's with drinks in hand. It was kind of fun to watch for about 5 minutes and then I wanted them out of there because all the tables were closed while they filmed and took pics. A lot of camera people with staged lights & cords. The models had drinks, fake smiles, fake looks of excitement. A few hours of inconvenience is much different than having a reality show being filmed for a week. I'd be dodging cameras, and that wouldn't make for a fun relaxing vacation for me.
  19. My BFF got her refund yesterday, so it took almost 1 month.
  20. Make sure the boxes are checked to receive promotional emails (in your profile). My BFF wasn't receiving any offers until she checked the box. I've got all my boxes checked to cover everything 🙂
  21. I have gotten the shareholders credit on ALL my cruises (10 currently on the books). I email my request to: sbpcl@princesscruises.com. I'd resubmit again.
  22. I received the same pop up message for my CA Coastal Cruise (departing 10/1 on Discovery out of LA) with a brief stop in Ensenada. My wording is a similar to yours.....it came on my Booking confirmation yesterday and it is listed on my travel summary as well. It is not on my following Mexican Riviera cruise (departing 10/8 on Discovery out of LA). I'm vaxxed/boosted and am doing a proctored antigen test to cover my basis. Don't trust Princess at the moment.
  23. OB.....Sea Plane in Alaska was cancelled due to weather.
  24. My BFF is still waiting for her excursion cancellation from Aug 25th.
