Is SS giving different refunds to everyone? I would also be interested in what SS are offering as I’m booked on a SS through the Red Sea in March which possibly will not go ahead

Interesting - I think it would have been much better for SS to let passengers know earlier - getting airfares, tours, accom and Visas all takes time and effort

I think it’s dreadful - there is no similarity for warships protecting global supply routes and a cruise ship for pleasure. I have a SS cruise through the Red Sea/Suez in March booked as well and am very upset they haven’t cancelled and continue to send reminders for me to buy my visas. I have lost confidence in SS as most other cruise companies cancelled earlier

Surely it can’t - Silversea wouldn’t be insured to cruise there - neither will passengers insurance cover anything there. Interesting this company is not making decisions to cease cruising in this area and passengers expected to just keep planning airfares, accommodation and visas etc.

Hard to believe SS will do this cruise considering human safety 🥺

We have just been notified Ponant have cancelled the South Georgia component of our the great L’Austral loop journey departing 5 Jan 24. Hoping the rest of the journey is okay and the bird flu doesn’t continue to spread
