  1. I am trying to talk my husband into taking a partial Journey cruise (we have 4 pets to board, and it gets expensive). We will not be anywhere near Platinum as we sail on various cruise lines depending on what type of cruise we are looking to enjoy. I am going to continue research into the Journey cruises. Cruisin 4 Ever, we sailed the Wind in 03 and 09.

  2. I am hoping the folk deciding our cruise future, gets it together. Sadly, I am not optimistic about government entities ever agreeing on anything without a drawn out use of taxpayer dollars. Should the magic wand be waved to allow return to cruising , I am hoping POA will set sail when we are booked next year. Sad, like so many about missing planning cruises.

The fact is NCL and RCCL are requiring vaccines and Carnival likely will, too.

Carnival just canceled our June cruise...One more in November and MSC in December. I did get a call from NCL today telling me about new cruises (LOL) I told her I had 2 with NCL for next year, and I will wait and see before booking anything except rebooking cancellations.

I would not get to caught up in the stuff NCL is putting out. They are just trying to force the CDC to make a decision and setting up a lawsuit if they are denied from sailing.

The CDC said it is safe to travel if you are vaccinated so they are pushing the CDC to open cruising just like all other travel and sue if they are denied.

When sailing resumes kids will not be denied, vaccination will not be required.

I tend to agree with you.

I'm beginning to root against the cruise lines and their thoughts even though I have taken the Jab - although I really don't have to root against them because our politicians hate them so much.

Forcing a 5 year old child to be vaccinated to come on the ship when science doesn't have a clue about them is a bit much - I guess the teachers unions apparently run the cruise companies as well as the schools.

Enjoy the face masks and probability of the  constant threat of being thrown off if you don't comply like they are doing on the airlines when you get on and fly. I can just see all the  new fun mask police who will be vacationing along just to enforce their own "safety" vacations.

The teacher unions have no say in cruise ship line procedures. 😉 No one is forcing anyone to get vaccinated it is still your choice, you just cannot sail without being vaccinated. Like me you have been vaccinated and can cruise, while until my grandchildren are eligible to receive a vaccine they can not. That I leave to their parents to decide. Whatever is decided all of us can decide if we choose to get vaccinated or not as it is a vacation which we have the option of deciding how and where we plan to enjoy that time.

  6. We are hoping we get to sail in June since our cruise is the end of June.  If not we will rebook once again. Like so many I am tired of moving cruises and just want to cruise. We gave up and started moving to 2022 with the exception of one moved to December of this year. I am keeping positive, believing we will sail again soon.

  7. We stayed at the Montblanc Hotel in the Gothic Quarter. It was a nice hotel and walkable to everything in the quarter. We found a different restaurant to eat in each night that was small and not over filled with tourists. We did some shopping in stalls one evening and had a wonderful time. By day we booked day tours. We taxied from the airport to the hotel and also to the ship. We loved this cruise and was happily exhausted going home.

  8. Sorry I cannot help with the cabin as we stayed on the 9th deck the last time and have an aft balcony this time. This is our favorite DD, DGD, and my cruise to take together. We enjoy time in Honolulu (we stay at a military hotel Hale Koa). Honolulu has plenty to offer if you are interested in booking a few excursions aside from just the pool/beach. We booked private excursions and this time we are going to just beaches, hopefully if we are allowed to disembark without a ship excursion. Though port intensive we found those working on the ship to be friendly and very nice. In our opinion the best way to enjoy many of the islands without staying there.

Asking this as I have a rearranged cruise on the Seashore in September and we are booked into a YC Deluxe as per our original booking. I Have noticed that Seashore has YC Deluxe Grand cabins on Deck 19. They seem to be deeper with a walk-in wardrobe or dressing area. The price difference is around £150 pp and wondering if this is worth it, especially as I have extra OBC.

Also interested what the pros and cons of being on Deck 19 are?

We were booked for March 2021 on the Meraviglia in a YC Deluxe. We decided to use the FCC to book on the Seashore in a YC Deluxe Grand. Though Deck 19 is below the "sun deck" we decided to go for it as I am hoping the noise factor will be minimal. We booked forward/starboard so if we go to the private island we will see the light show. For us it was an easy choice as we planned to sail this ship next and in the larger cabin. The long walk down the corridor was a possible con along with the unknown of above deck noise but we booked forward before and it was not an issue (I could use the exercise) each day from all of the risotto and desserts I am planning on consuming. Personally we are looking forward to a larger balcony as the YC Seaside balcony was really small in our opinion.

The only cruising going on during June will optimistically be the test cruises, which are followed by the 60 day mandated wait period by the CDC.  Then short cruises, followed by full week cruises.  Full week cruises may not start until late September and it was previously announced that Carnival would start with Miami and PC, followed by Galveston.  This puts NOLA and Long Beach at best in the #4 slot with cruises not starting till mid fall.

I am pretty sure we won’t sail which is why we have a contingency plan. I would like to hear more on Long Beach sailings since we enjoy sailing from there since it is in our state. In the meantime I will keep dreaming about two cruises in the Havana! BTW we still have a 4-day get away in November-yep you guessed it sailing from Long Beach😃

  11. Meanwhile, while they are still testing vaccines for children, my adult children told me they plan to get their children vaccinated. I was happy to hear that. Sure, we may all need a vaccination each year but it is less of an issue than having the full illness. DH and my vaccines all done two weeks ago.😉😁

I have not received mine for 4/19 and 4/23 sailings on Armonia.

I am wondering if March canceled sailings are just receiving their FCC if April will be closer to the end of March. I had to call March 1st for our March sailing FCC.
