  1. A couple of months ago the first one left at 10:30 or so. However, they did not have room for luggage beneath the bus so they used passenger seats for some of the luggage, meaning the bus did not leave at capacity. It was annoying but we got on the second one and were on board around 12:15.

  2. We will have my 85 yo mother with us and I don't want to leave her on the beach while we go off in a boat.

She will be fine. I witnessed a medical emergency there a couple of months ago and they had EMTs there within minutes -- if that is your concern.

  3. Is there a major airport there?

One of the factors I take into consideration is airfare into Jacksonville, which is relatively dirt cheap from Nashville. Unfortunately for me, the vast majority of cruisers out of the Charleston/Savannah/Jacksonville market drive to port.

  4. It is by far my favorite bar on board. It is strictly a martini bar - can't order a beer or a Jack and Coke. The mixologists are amazing at creating drinks. You can name a certain flavor or style and they will come up with something for you - ordering outside of the menu is encouraged.

  5. Not certain if you booked a 1A on that, but just noticed that 2216 and 2217 are still in inventory for that sailing . . . which, in my opinion, are the best of the 1As for that $319 price. They have the double port holes and a sofa.

Thanks - I wasn't certain #2217 had them. Just switched to that cabin.

  6. The prizes for bingo have mostly changed on the ship. No longer, except the last 2 days, are people awarded cash for bingo. Instead, the winner receives the award to be credited to their sail and sign account. This can be a problem if you don’t charge a lot on your card.

I won several years ago and was never given the option of getting it in cash. Any positive balance over $5.00 is refunded in the form of a check after your cruise.
