I've been slacking, I need to buckle down and do some research about the ports on the TA.
-
Great stuff, as always. VERY much looking forward to your trip and subsequent review of Asia!
-
It is similar to Triumph in many ways, just a bit larger. Same general amenities.

I wonder if they will let the passengers on the TA that are doing a B2B with the two night stay onboard over that lapse. They did with the Magic so some might expect them to hold this "tradition."
I am hoping so as if it is a short CTN I will make the TA a B2B.

Carnival won't be sending ant "big" ships to the West coast until the Panama Canal expansion is completed. WAY WAY too costly to have to sail them all the way around the tip of South America.
I agree that one of the larger ones won't be going to the west coast but not due to the expense in sailing around South America. They did that in the last couple of years in three legs. Many passengers sailed all three.

I'm in a 1A, total cost around $1300, deposit was still $800 so over half.
Same here. Long time to pay off that last tiny bit!

the vista deck plans aren't up at cruise deckplans dot com with the drag / drop tool thingy yet as far as i saw when i just looked.
Will make it very easy once they upload them there. Love that website!

and if they have it like on sunshine will try the havana bar snacks too (though i haven't heard mention of that on vista).
The Havana Bar will have food. :)

Booked the last 1A porthole for the TA today. Wish I could do the last Mediterranean cruise too!
-
I just booked the transatlantic today. Going solo and got the last 1A porthole available.

By the way if anyone is looking for ways to travel/visit to the UK > Spain or the other way round during their Vista holiday there are now high speed trains that go directly from London to Barcelona in less that 9 hours (stopping in Paris). For us cruise types theres also the longer scenic way which involves Brittany 'cruise ferries' (Portsmouth/Plymouth UK to Santander/Bilbao Spain) then a 8 hour train to Barcelona from port and a 2 hour train to London.
My Spanish friend takes these routes to see her family and loves it. She especially likes the mini overnight cruises between the UK and Spain.
I'll be in the UK prior to the transatlantic. Looking at some mock one-ways from Newcastle to Barcelona for $143. I'm sure it can't be any higher direct from London.

I'm debating on whether to book through one of the many travel agents booking this one currently or waiting until I'm on the Dream in a week and a half. I will get OBC either way, but wondering if Carnival will only give me $100 for booking solo.
-
Travel agents have it available. Just now popped up on carnival.com.
-
They are available now on travel agent sites. Carnival will have theirs up directly shortly. I'm sure their web traffic is through the roof right now.

Arrives in New York on 11/3 and then...? :)
-
The Trieste itinerary is for 5/1/16.
-
That's pricey for an interior on a TA, IMO. But it's a new ship they have to pay for somehow!
Website is still being updated, the TA is $1,998 for ES either solo, or for two people.

Yes, that option is available.
-
She will do 18 cruises in Europe before the transatlantic, beginning on 5/1/16.
-
Can't even imagine the prices for these!
The transatlantic is $1,098.00/pp on Early Saver for an interior.

They've been showing Fault In Our Stars for at least 8 months on board with no sign of stopping so chances are good that will be on one night.
I for one enjoyed watching Monday Night Football and Saturday afternoon college games on Lido during Fall cruises but that has gone by the wayside.
