  1. Yesterday I saw that the Radiance was delayed leaving Ensenada due to a outer door not sealing. Now I just heard they have a medical emergency and that the Coast Guard helicopter is currently en route... Hope all involved is safe
  2. Sorry, I did not intend this thread to derail so quickly. It was only to see if more people are going on their cruise and not getting sick vs getting sick. It was not to debate testing, masking or vaccines. Like many others have said if you do not feel safe cruising then don't, if you want to wear a mask or not that's up to you. At the end of the day enjoy your cruise if you choose to do so, I know I will once we board next week. Mods feel free to lock this thread
  3. Another question I should have added to the poll was if you drove or flew to the port. I'm sure your risk is higher if you fly to the port with all the people in the airport, plane, shuttles etc. Luckily for us we are a little over an hour away from the terminal on a good day with no traffic. (75 miles)
  4. We have travelled to Las Vegas many times during the pandemic, our first trip was June 2020 and have been back 6 times since then, we have flown 3 times as well, been to universal studios, baseball games etc. All those trips have been fine as we wore masks when mandated to, Clorox wiped hotel rooms, plane seats etc hand sanitizer and washing often and never had any issues. I thought if we were going to catch covid it would have been on one of our trips. Figures we both caught it from a co worker bringing it into the office.
  5. Sorry, I should have worded it differently or add another option. It was more of a "If you answered yes to question #1...) I was more curious to see if more people have cruised and returned fine, as more people are quick to post that they caught it rather than not. Which is understandable as they want to let others know incase of potential exposure
  6. I have been reading a lot of reviews lately and have noticed more and more people saying they are testing positive once they return home. Now like most reviews people are quick to review a bad experience over a good one, so that got me thinking how many are returning from their cruise and have been fine?
  7. seems like more and more people testing positive a day or 2 after returning home... makes me worried about our trip on the 18th, me and my wife already had Covid, she had it September 2021 and I just had it in January this year, we are both vaxxed. To the OP hope you feel better and looking forward to the rest of the review
  8. Glad to hear you had a good time so far, we board her next Saturday 6/18!
  9. How soon is the trip? hopefully you guys will have enough time to get everyone set up, traveling with 16 family members is rough enough let alone first time cruisers
  10. Looking at this photo it looks like the exhaust has some sort of DPF (diesel particulate filter) system like on diesel trucks to help with emissions and soot. Could be wrong but maybe @chengkp75 can confirm or not if ships even use DPF systems. I know on the trucks they have igniters and heating elements that aid in the reburn or regen cycles. I also know that when my diesel truck goes into regen mode the exhaust gets super hot... could have been a clogged or overheated filter that caught the fiberglass on fire
  11. Just like the title says, where is the best place to order a espresso martini? My wife got her first taste of one at our favorite sushi restaurant in Vegas and has been hooked on them ever since. Granted we haven't found ones that are just as good but some have come close. I did a quick search and saw that the Alchemy Bar will make them for you if you bring a double shot of espresso, I always love the Deal Closer from there as way close out the night. One review on the Panorama said the Plaza Bar makes them not sure if you need to bring the espresso or not... anywhere else to get them? We sail June 18th and can't wait to get back to sea
