We had a similar experience on Zuiderdam last October. The Rolling Stone band was excellent!

I find the seating uncomfortable in the World Stage, and miss the tables to put your drink on. (It must cut into drink sales, no?) But I really like the way they incorporate the curved walls/screens into the shows and presentations.

Lol, I’ll take that as a “never”. 😀

Thinking about the issue in general, when is it appropriate to remove or reduce the automatically applied gratuities? If the answer is “never”, then why is it even an option? Curious what others think.

Yikes! Sorry to hear about your bad cruise. I’ve been fortunate to have good experiences on all of my HAL cruises.

I would echo what others have said. The experience is mostly he same. I would describe things as a bit “simpler”. Food, entertainment, activities, stateroom service, etc. all very good. The biggest change we noticed was in the MDR. Service just seemed “off” to us. Less attentive, rushed, forgot things, failed to offer coffee, etc. Nothing major, but just off the quality we had seen previously. Perhaps this is just temporary or a fluke of our specific cruise.
