  1. I just booked 4050 for a 2025 cruise…hoping it’s good…I was told on here it has a larger balcony but then I’ve read things about metal versus glass so I don’t know much….this is my first Cunard booking so I feel pretty lost. 🙂
  2. Really enjoying your narratives…very informative with a nice dose of sarcasm sprinkled in.
  3. Can anyone comment on the non steak offerings? Are they any good? 😂
  4. Okay we went for it! Booked and hoping we made an okay decision (can’t do more than a regular balcony for $ reasons.) Have to read through Cunard Care and another trip insurance plan and make a decision. TA provided both but now I have to make sense of it all.
  5. There’s no way under any normal circumstance I could swing a suite and have never had an issue with anything you mention. You’ll get the vibe on here that everyone does but I don’t think that’s the case. No issues with spa, restaurants, etc. did my Alaskan cruise I can currently book any of things you mention on my cruise planner.
  6. Thoughts on QV 4050 for a balcony room?
  7. Not in my 30s anymore but my first cruise was on Disney and was amazing but I’d need to take out a loan to do that again. Since I’ve found Celebrity to be great and very appropriate for the 30+ crowd. That being said, it sounds as if some itineraries trend older and some younger. I’m confined to vacationing during school vacations and summer and have found ample people in your age range. My teen/college aged kids like Celebrity too, perhaps better than RCL and Disney.
  8. We are cruising this summer (premium package) but next spring we are doing a short 4 day with two ports so we opted not to get anything and see his it goes. We figured with a short cruise any gross underestimated are limited to a few days.
  9. Geared toward what demographic? Early-mid 50s for us, American…
  10. Can someone give me a sense of a typical theatre/evening entertainment schedule? DH was wondering what could be expected if we book a 14 night.
  11. Sad to end a vacation but it’s always kind of nice to get home…
  12. A good bananas foster takes the ick out of it too…sounds very similar.
  13. Oh yes, the only place mushy old bananas belong is in banana bread. Certainly not in some of the forms you’ve seen.
  14. I feel the choices in the “greens” department were selected for their hardiness…iceberg and arugula can usually survive a big longer…spinach too but that wasn’t on the menu. 😉
  15. So, I asked a friend that travels/cruises frequently and am in contact with their TA. We will see if they can do better. 🙂
  16. Makes sense but I don’t have a relationship with one so I’d be randomly picking. That makes me uneasy so I guess I pay more. 😂
  17. DH and I are seriously considering a 2025 14 night Med cruise. The pricing seems fine right now but I’ve never sailed Cunard before, nor watched pricing/incentives. We are going with Balcony (non obstructed) and not the club Britannia option due to budget (flights alone will be almost as much as the cruise.) I’m guessing some of you know the ins/ours on best time to book/promotions/etc. I do not use a TA simply because outside of big box stores I don’t have one as I always book trips on my own so I have no level of trust with anyone.
  18. And you made it sound as if you were drinking water tonight.
  19. We are seriously looking at a Cunard Med cruise for 2025…the idea of dressing up seems slightly fun. lol.
  20. I missed pasta on the menu but can get behind adding lobster to pasta.
  21. Well don’t let being full hold you back from ordering or we will all be disappointed.
