Google "Karambole Tours Martinique." Click on FORT DE FRANCE - Karambole Tours. All the info you need to know. There are no other guides, Christelle is the one. Six hours, no more than 8 people, lots of goodies and a beautiful island to enjoy. She fills up fast. A credit card is required to hold your place, but no payment is charged until after the tour. You may even learn some French along the way. My DW and I tried the kissing. We are now fluent.

Based on the Cruise Critic reviews we did our tour with Karambole on our first visit to Martinique on our 11.30.23 Equonox Cruise.  All the good reviews are true she is great and would highly recommend. fyi

I'm assuming you have fewer than 240,000 UR points and are using one of the Sapphire card multipliers?

I have the chase reserve, so I get 1.5 the value of the points by using the points and booking thru them

the value is around $2400  So I am booking a 10 day balcony cruise for under $1000!

Try calling back and maybe get a different agent.  I have no idea and wouldn't use my points for a cruise as you can get better value from them.  How many points (not your perceived value) do you have?  Often transferring the points to Hyatt is an easy way to get maximum value out of UR points if one doesn't want to deal with finding airline award space

I did and the new guy is giving me the resident rate.    still on phone with him   every minute he comes back with a question then puts me on hold.

so they do give the resident rate ... thanks

  4. was all set to book a Celebrity cruise with CC points.  I have $2400 worth of points and

cruise was $3309.  When I went to book the Chase agent quoted me $3800

I asked her about resident rate, and she really didn't seem to know what I was talking about.

question anyone ever book thru Chase know if I can get this rate or if the problem is the agent?

I wonder if the people on the Equinox and Eclipse realized when they booked this cruise that they would be part of this trial?

    I doubt it.

I sent my 2nd email to Celebrity asking how we'll know when and how will we know when they make a final decision on Vaping.

It’s an experiment for 8 weeks that will hopefully fail and not make it to Policy. But if it does it won’t make me stop sailing Celebrity. So not happy with it but it’s not a deal breaker for us.

that is what Celebrity told me.  hopefully they will get enough emails to stop this

  7. I sent a letter to Celebrity voicing my opinion against Vaping.   I received a very short call

back from a  Celebrity representative.    She said, "all responses are being logged and reviewed"

and that they value the customers feedback and want to keep their current customers. If you do not want Vaping Please email them.

Just confirming you realize it’s a free.  You can book and take the sailing and will not owe anything even if you don’t gamble

I did that on RC yrs ago   was an old ship and casino was full of smoke so I didn't gamble   was not surprised when I never got another offer...... then COVID came and I get free inside cabins offers in short cruises

A much more watered down version of this happened to us on the Edge last April. We were in the Retreat but despite loving Luminae we had some breakfasts on our balcony and splurged on dinners at Fine Cut and Raw on 5.  When the M'd of Luminae saw us while walking around on the ship he said he'd missed us at the restaurant and asked if everything was ok.  Though a bit awkward I took it for genuine caring (and it might truly have been!), but in retrospect I have to wonder if there were ulterior motives.

they never chased us down but on our 12/22 cruise they kept calling till they finally reached me and seemed really relieved that we had no complaints but preferred the Oceanview cafe

This needs to be upfront and out there in a heading of it's own.  I grabbed it from another posting where it was buried.

Below is a link to video posted on YouTube from Apex with a detailed walk through of the Oceanview Cafe dinner cutbacks from the Traveling Gamblers who were on a B2B (December and January 2023, and know their OVC offerings):

Very, very sad.  I know that they are trying to save their $$$ but this is just pathetic.

I hope that the bean counters at corporate are aware of this bad publicity.

I received several more BCC offers and I did not book them.    Airfare, hotel, drink packages, taxis, etc add up to quite a bit and I no longer see the value with all of the cuts.   I hope Celebrity puts the brakes on the new changes since January.

I never got Blue Chip offers before COVID.   Now they keep coming.   I'm assuming these are all cabins that would of been empty.  On our Dec 2022 cruise they had a number of empty suites that were given to different departments.   For instance, if you booked an excursion thru Celebrity you were put in a drawing for a free upgrade to a suite.  In the Casino they had some sort of competition for a fee upgrade to a suite.  The last day of the cruise I asked the Casino host how business was and she said on the next cruise she had 2 suites to give away.  not good  that is A LOT of lost $$$

  12. I see a lot of little cuts and I am hearing about more to come.  Right after covid there were no cuts.

I think the problem is they cannot get the price point they want so they have to cut.

We booked a 1/23 cruise on our  6/22 and ended up paying under 50% of that price by rebooking and they are sailing still has a lot of empty cabins.  that is a lot of expected $$$ gone.  I remember Celebrity saying they expected to be back to normal by a certain date ( 1/2023 ?) and I get the impression this never happened.

    Just my view

I hate to say it because I love Celebrity and their casinos, but the BCC is a total disaster right now. You have to hold for 2 hours to get someone who gives you the exact opposite answer of the person you spoke with before.  They change their rules all the time and don’t even follow what’s on their website.

I got thru in 5 minutes.     never waited more than 10 minutes

If you missed your cruise due to Southwest system failure would the benefits reimburse you the cost of the cruise?

I had a flight canceled in beginning of Aug.    They pawn if off to another company.   Every time I give them what they want, they come back with a new request.  very frustrating and time consuming

I am one of the bump-out balconies on deck 7. I left a note for my room steward asking for a foot rest for my balcony and when I came in last night, I had two out there, so those aren't in the pictures.

we had the same room except on Reflection .    we get on the Celebrity

Equinox when u get off.   Ur review makes me feel we are already there!
