@GKTV32162 Thank you Garry for your blog throughout the journey. I hope you will keep them public as it is a great way to recall the voyage and refresh our memories.
It has been my pleasure. I have no plans to take them away and I will continue updating through Homelands. Thanks for coordinating this communication medium.

Alert for passengers going on to Bergen as we are (were. ) Checked flight from Bergen to Copenhagen to Munich to Boston. Flying Lufthansa except for SAS from Bergen to Copenhagen. Flight from Bergen NOT booked although other legs confirmed. Some issue over surcharges. Ultimately, changed flight through Viking Air+ to Heathrow, UK to Munich to Boston. But, now getting off in the UK rather than staying on for the two extra days. If any of you are counting on flight from Bergen to any other European, major airport to fly back to the US, please check with Guest Services now.
Our flight from Stockholm to Frankfurt to Orlando on United operated by Lufthansa looks fine. All good here.

That photo of the two of you with the rainbow behind is a keeper. That one deserves a place on the mantle. Not that you’ll ever be home to see it!May 25 is coming soon and we'll be jetting back to Florida - the home of many of us former Michiganders!

We have eaten at that market a couple of times. You can find very interesting things there including sheep head. We stuck to the less exotic.
No stories of pick pockets? We had a BIL pick pocketed there on a train. He knew it the moment it happened but couldn’t catch or stop the person as they quickly passed the wallet off to another. We carry everything of value in a pac safe bag so never had any trouble. This was a few years ago so maybe it’s better?
They warned us extensively about pickpocketing. I didn't hear of any instances so I assume everyone heeded the warnings.

Not true—on our recent TA on the Sea, there was a watercolor painting class, and needlepoint for animals from the Bayeux tapestry.
Excellent - at least on this cruise, the classes are held in The Restaurant, port side.

It is always listed in the Viking Daily, and most likely this is unique to the World Cruise. We have a lot of things on this 4.5 month journey that are not done on regular cruises.

Will you be continuing your blog here on the WC thread for the Homelands portion. Interested in that itinerary for the future.
Most likely, since it is a continuation for us.

Would art teacher do an art show of the passengers works before the cruise ends? I love her paintings from the art classes.
Previous instructors have done shows of the passenger's art. We'll see if that happens again.

That John Cleese photo below the soldiers. I about died.
Did your guide say anything about why those elite Greek soldiers wear the shoes with pom-poms and pouffy skirts with tights? This is not an outfit to strike fear into the heart of an enemy. I’ve always wondered what the history behind it was.
The skirt has 400 pleats to mark the 400 years of Ottoman occupation. They used to hide knives in the pom, making a kick especially deadly. No word on the tights.
