  1. My plan was to renew after the princess cruise as currently it takes 6 weeks
  2. Yes my passport is valid as it’s less than 10 years on issue date so that’s not an issue, it’s not the Schengen issues I worry about. The countries I’m visiting accept my passport, but princess may not.
  3. My passport expires nov (5 months after returning) and I just saw that the policy is that you must have 6 months remaining! None of the countries we visit require this thankfully but am I gonna have an issue? The app has accepted my passport and I’m in the green lane so I don’t know. Panic!!!!
  4. Even for those who booked the old plus package and didn’t upgrade to the new?
  5. That is what I said, yes...that it was confirmed.
  6. My app is back and still showing limit of $12 😞
  7. Confirmed this is wrong.. Vines is still there and no Salty Dog.
  8. I may be the odd one out here and many will disagree but hear me out and at least respectfully agree to disagree... I actually dislike that they adjust things to UK passengers. Here's why. If I wanted to eat British food and have a cup of PG Tips in my room, I would travel P&O or stay on land. You don't go to Spain and ask for Pie and Mash, you eat Paella, tapas and drink Sangria! Part of the fun for me of travelling different ships and lines is the different foods/shows/services each offer. If they're all homogenised, it becomes no different to how dull the british high streets are. "Oh I fancy Italian, there's Ask, Zizzi or Bella Italia...just like EVERY city in the UK" I want Princess to be Princess, Carnival to be Carnival and P&O to be P&O, but I respect that some are different ❀️
  9. Yes but I think there’s an issue with the system as everyone’s seem to have vanished!
  10. Hey all. When we booked our cruise, it was a year ago and the limit was $12 on drinks and says it included juices, smoothies etc. Now, the new Plus has a $15 limit and includes "unlimited juice bar" I am wondering if our plus package will be upped to rhe $15 limit and if the juice bar will still be usable on our plus or if we need to upgrade?
  11. I have not seen that post so perhaps it was "done to death" but as I was not involved, asking myself seemed wise. Enjoy your lie down, let's hope you wake up a little less cranky, hm? πŸ™‚
  12. There was a discussion about Vines being removed, not Salty dog being added. Sorry if my question caused you such distress you needed to make a snarky post about it. I shall refrain.
  13. Cruisemapper have listed Salty Dog Gastropub coming to Sky Princess during dry dock. Is this true?
  14. Okay thankyou, not meaning to sound rude πŸ™‚ just the new deck plans on CruiseMapper are making a lot of us worried. Vines and Good Spirits are why I got the drinks package and seeing both disappear worried me
  15. Got a source for that? The new deck plans show it gone.
  16. I am honestly more troubled that the Cruisemapper plans show the loss of Good Spirits at Sea, which frankly is the reason I get the drinks package. I sail next month after dry dock and hope this is not true!
  17. Do we know anything about the dry dock as I’ve not seen it mentioned anywhere except on here and no idea what’s happening πŸ™‚
  18. I have now sent evidence to Carnival. Any idea how long it takes to hear back?
  19. Hi all! If you have OBC on your account already (due to rate bookings, cancellations or price protection) can you still have shareholder OBC added on top?
  20. Anyone on Princess now able to share the prices of the Good Spirits at Sea bar menu? Their cocktails are amazing and I wanna see which package I'd need.
  21. Hello everyone! This will be my first of many LIVE report and review posts. For those who know me, hello! For those who don't, a bit of background. This cruise will be my 12th and I have another 2 booked for this year thus far. You may know me from YouTube where I host a weekly Vlog series called Kascapades (www.YouTube.com/kascapades). I am Kas, I am from the UK, Cardiff in Wales specifically and I am in my 30's. I travel as much as I can on cruises and caught the bug in 2010 when I was taken on a cruise by my family. I thought I'd hate it and I couldn't imagine anything worse than being stuck on a boat, but boy was I wrong and I got hooked! This will be my first cruise on MSC and I'm really looking forward to seeing how things go and what things I love/hate. So let's talk about this trip and what led to the booking. I am starting a new job soon and so I have some time off between roles and on a whim, I thought, hmmm... me and my travelling partner (and vlog executive producer!) Hue, were both free this coming weekend. A quick google search found an amazing deal on MSC Virtuosa. 3 Nights with a free balcony upgrade, gratuities included and the premium extra package, all for the price I'd usually expect for a basic interior. Needless to say I snapped it up so fast, I hadn't even looked at the itinerary. The ship will be sailing out of Southampton on Friday 27th May at 4pm and we will be arriving by train, with just a cabin style case and backpack each. The train was really good value, Β£75 return for the two of us and it's direct so we can walk right to the pier upon arrival. MSC require evidence of negative covid test and vaccination. Here in the UK, we can log on to the health service website and download pdf of our vaccine status, or we can download digital copies to the phone. I've done both just in case. I also bought 2x COVID antigen tests from Randox health. These tests are done from home with your results uploaded in the app to get results and a digital certificate within 2 hours. Our cruise will have no sea days and will visit two ports: Rotterdam (For Amsterdam), Netherlands and Cherbourg, France. We did a two day overnight port visit to Rotterdam on Iona just this past December but Cherbourg is new to us both so we're excited for that. In Rotterdam we are not sure yet if we are going to just have a simple walk round the city or head to Amsterdam. We have limited time so may just do a short walk round Rotterdam and then spend the rest of the time enjoying the beautiful ship and our drinks package! For Cherbourg, I think we will go off on our own with a backpack and the camera and go explore. I am keen to try some of the local food, including a visit to the famous cheese cellar! Any tips for this port would be amazing if you've been! We're staying in a Deluxe Balcony with obstructed view of lifeboats on Deck 8 which looks amazing. It will be our first Balcony cabin as thus far we've only sailed in Inside cabins. As mentioned we have the Premium Extra drinks package so there will be muchos wine and cocktails! We're also choosing not to dine at any specialty restaurants for dinner as with a 3 night cruise, we just want to focus on the core offering, though we may pop to Hola for lunch! We're keen to try as many locations as we can for drinks to really get our moneys worth and we will even be paying extra to get a drink from Rob the Robot Bartender! Stay tuned for updates throughout the trip πŸ™‚
  22. Hello all! First time on MSC next week and I saw there are two shows that you need to pay for. They say you get a signature drink but we're on the premium drinks package so do we still pay for the show? Are there free shows as well? Only on for 3 nights and want to make the most of it.
