I’m hear in Cape Town I can confirm Viking ship not moved QV very near to port the wind is still strong so who knows 🧐

We are in cape town in our hotel looking out at QV going up and down. The winds were bad yesterday and increased in strength today nothing moving in port hence Viking ship stranded. Looking at the forecast I would say tomorrow should be ok as the winds decrease over night QM2 also due in town tomorrow.

We have just been allocated cabin 4062 deck 4 on Queen Victoria Cape Town to Southampton sailing April 2024, has anyone any information on this cabin? I did read on here that cabin has a larger balcony? Anyone onboard now or recently any reviews good or bad. Thank you

Having applied via the new app for the first time i have been refused my shareholder OBC the reason saying "The process for applying for shareholder benefit includes validation, and within this part it was flagged that the promotions applied to your booking are non-combinable with shareholder benefits. You have been given a reduced-rate (net rate) through your travel agent, therefore with this promotion given unfortunately it is not combinable." I have applied successfully over the past 15 years with 100% success in obtaining my OBC, I have used the app once and been refused. I have booked via travel agents/bucket shops many times never before told the fare you paid does not entitle you to OBC. So in future can I only use Cunard etc direct and pay top fare to claim my OBC? Is this legal? I have re written to Cunard asking them to explain as I believe the fare I paid via travel agent, Cape Town to UK on QV I actually paid more than the Cunard fare. NOT HAPPY

Where do you actually bid for the upgrade? I travel next week but have not received any correspondence regarding bidding? I did book via a travel agent. Any help appreciated.

I never said I will be cancelling my cruise

I just received an email from Cunard regarding our QV cruise Cape Town to Southampton April 2024. I noticed my club loyalty is Gold we think it should be Platinum, so Tuesday I called the customer loyalty number and a man took all my details, I asked him to check all information on my account, whilst on hold the line was cut off, not by me, annoyed twenty minutes wasted. My wife said do not worry they will call you back - they did not. After a one hour wait I called again a lady called Jackie answered more details who are you where do you live etc, I explained I had been cut off by previously by Cunard and I am not happy - yes that sometimes happens - really? And no call back? I purposely said if we are cut off please call me back - ok she said. After a further ten minutes with her hummimg and hamming o yes I think I can see the problem -Yes what is the problem? Oh dear looks like we have a IT problem and cant help you at present - ok can you please call me back when the IT is fixed yes no problem she said, that was Tuesday it's Thursday tomorrow and no return call, if I wanted to book a cruise I can guarantee there will be no I.T problems. If your not interested in helping me with my enquiry please just tell me, so I can then take my business elsewhere, as a Carnival shareholder i am very disapointed.

Thinking of booking QM2 having sailed on it many years ago, having read latest reviews it seems the ship is showing her age, does anyone know when she is due a refit? Thanks

Sailing on the Muse 10 days time and still not received cruise tickets etc?

I have just completed my latest cruise P&O survey having disembarked Arvia Saturday. My personal opinion was the entertainment was not as good as Cunard, Princess etc. Tribute acts that may be good at Butlins but not on a cruise, Headliners were good but seen the performance on Iona, juggler was actually very good with humour involved, Dean Stansbury tried his best as did Gaga, acoustics not good in the Dome, ShellyAnne good, Re-mix ok, Phoenix very good. Nice new ship, but half the lifts not working, food ok in buffet, good in restaurant, drink prices have increased. Get up early if you want a sunbed.

Hi Just booked Far East cruise on Silver Muse a few questions: Travel Agent says we need a Visa for Vietnam, spoke to Silversea's they say we do not need a Visa? Anyone done this cruise can you help? I am on Arvia 6th January UK-Carribean, booked this when we were on Iona in June issued with good OBC. We paid £4,400 which included seat upgrade on flight home, I see the same balcony cabin is advertised for £1249 almost half price. I called P&O to see if we could do a deal with losing my OBC to have a reduction in price or put it towards a Suite, I explained I am a good previous customer and shareholder, very nice lady told me nothing doing, so I told the very nice lady I will be sailing with Celebrity in future. Never book in advance, what looked a good deal turned out not to be, what is annoying they cannot fill this boat so why could they not do a deal I was not looking for freebies. I think the price will go to £1,000 for a balcony nearer the sail date, let's hope the ship is complete to sail on time.

On the Enchanted Princess this Friday we are having covid test on the dockside, has anyone had this test on the dockside? Is the testing tent next to the ship, or not any delays etc? Told by Princess office no need to book just turn up $65 added to your account. Any replies appreciated, any other good or bad comments on Enchanted Princess, current capacity, food etc? Thanks

Hi All, Sailing on Enchanted Princess in July, we plan to use Princess dockside Covid testing $60 pp, has anyone had experience of this testing? Have been told by Princess no need to book just turn up? I did say to the guy on the phone what happens if 2,000 people turn up? Slightly concerned as Princess website says limited numbers of tests available. Also anyone been on this ship recently if so any tips pros/cons. Many Thanks Devonport
