  1. We are also on a B2B2B out of Sydney starting Feb 25 and I had the same questions! The thread below provides some details: https://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/topic/2965058-b2b-from-sydney-procedures/ It seems that we do have to disembark for at least an hour or two per Australia regulations, but can get back on anytime before all aboard using a special fast pass that bypasses most of the process. Once on board you can’t get off again, but there’s nothing preventing us from sightseeing for the day before re-embarking. We’ve booked a bridge climb on the first turnaround day, and plan to take a ferry over to the zoo on the second turnaround day.
  2. Yes, hand stitching using a hoop. It's a kit someone gave me for a Christmas table topper that includes instructions and embroidery floss. It should keep my hands busy for a few sea days anyway!
  3. I’m late to this party, but as a fellow quilter, I wouldn’t try to quilt on a cruise ship. Even if I precut the pieces, I’d still need my iron for pressing and a small cutting board for trimming. You can’t bring an iron, and the whole process just takes more space (and accessories) than is practical. I quilt during the winter season in our motorhome, WITH all of my tools, and that is a challenge at times! I’m sure others have mentioned that some organizations organize quilting themed cruises. I peeked into one last summer and the whole conference center was taken over by Bernini machines and quilting paraphernalia. It looked like a ton of fun! I’m going on an extended B2B2B cruise next month and am taking along an embroidery project to satisfy my crafting urges. Much more portable. 😁
  4. We sail tomorrow and my bid was still pending as of yesterday. It turned locked/pending yesterday morning (2 days out), but was rejected later on. I got the rejection email about 6 pm.
