  1. It was just a cheap 28" hybrid bicycle. No folding and no batteries but aluminium so not too heavy to lug around. Fit perfectly in an inside stateroom between the side of the bed and wall.
  2. My TA changed it for me without any issues in April for a May sailing.
  3. Turns out Celebrity had no problems with the bicycle. Seems like the port employees have never seen a bicycle in their lives though. The ship's security officer came out to the security area and basically warned me that he would throw me and the bicycle overboard if I used it on the ship and then welcomed me aboard. Wheeled it through the metal detector without ever going through the X-ray scanner.
  4. Is the limit or block per person or per stateroom?
  5. When you say fees, you mean the upgrade fee? If so, seems like a good way to use up extra OBC.
  6. I mean upgrading after boarding at guest services.
  7. Did the $625 come out from your OBC or does it get charged to a credit card?
  8. Does this mean free cancellation and refund if you do not agree to the new terms?
  9. I sent an email to CelebrityEngagementCenter@celebrity.com a week ago but still no response. I asked my travel agency and the agent claims a Celebrity representative said bicycles are not allowed. I wonder if they may be conflating using a bicycle onboard and bringing a bicycle onboard. Celebrity's conduct policy reads in part: "Roller blades, roller skates, skateboards, surfboards, bicycles, and similar items may not be utilized onboard. Scooters are not permitted onboard except when used as a mobility aid." It says bicycles cannot be utilized onboard but does not prohibit it onboard like scooters. What could happen if I brought my bicycle to the embarkation terminal? Could they not allow it onto the ship at all? Could I leave it at the terminal to be picked up after the cruise?
  10. Thank you all for the advice! I had emailed cec@celebrity.com 3 weeks ago asking about bringing a bicycle onboard but have still not received any response. Is this the right email address for this type of question? Did they offer to store your bike to save space in your room, or did they not want it inside your room? I would actually prefer to let them hold onto it since I will be in a lowly inside stateroom!
  11. Anybody have any experience bringing a bicycle onboard for use at ports? The prohibited items list on the Celebrity Cruises FAQs page does not include bicycles.
  12. Thanks for the advice. Do you know if the purchase is charged through Celebrity? I read a third-party handles the bids.
  13. Can Amex Cruise Privileges Program benefits be applied if the payment is made with a combination of American Express Platinum card and Princess gift cards?
  14. @WillCruiseForMoneyI noticed this 10OFFS code on certain online TAs for Free at Sea sailings too. The TA site indicates the discount includes open bar, specialty dining, shore excursions, and WiFi, but the quotation does not add any gratuities for the open bar or specialty dining. Does your booking show gratuities for the specialty dining?
  15. If prices drop after the final payment date, NCL usually allows upgrading by paying the difference between the booked rate and the current rate. Does the Caesars Total Rewards discount also apply to the current rate of the upgraded stateroom? Or is the discount lost when upgrading after the final payment date?
  16. The American Express Cruise Privileges Program offers $100 OBC for inside and outside staterooms, $200 OBC for balcony and mini-suite staterooms, and $300 OBC for suites on NCL. If the stateroom is upgraded, is the OBC amount based on the originally booked stateroom or the upgraded stateroom? P.S. Can the OBC from the Amex CPP and the shareholder benefit be combined?
  17. Are the oceanview staterooms 4500-4516 really larger than other oceanview staterooms on NCL Jewel-class ships? Or is the deck plan just badly drawn and not remotely to scale?
