Everybody, at a minimum, has to shuttle past the rock slide. I can’t help but think of the Harry Chapin song when we go by it. I believe it is called “The Rock.” One driver told us it is really just one house sized rock they are so worried about. Those old railway diesels are parked there as a sacrificial measure.

We took the cheapo bus excursion to the Canadian border and it was snowing near the top. Spectacular!

It’s super secret, but let’s just say the brew house had to check their beer budget after they finally kicked us out, allegedly for some function that would help them repair that budget. @YVRteacher please check my sig. Oana is great. I asked her for some JS Bach and she happily obliged. Said after that it is hard to follow up with anything else. She got some other requests and we settled on Chopin for the last song. She told me it was good to have a friend back. 😎

Buffet is actually quite peaceful as I type this. 😎 Bloody Mary is nice and spicy.

We had great weather this week. Of course, it’s always sunny at the bar. I’ve already made four good friends at the Observation lounge bar, and that doesn’t include passengers. 🤣

I never sign up for meet and greets but ALWAYS crash them when they’re in the brew house for that rare morning Guinness. 😎🐀 See you there brother!

New pro tip: if you have both passport book and card, dig the book out at checkin. Otherwise you will receive a letter in your room at end of cruise telling you that you are special and have to go to Manhattan room at disembarkation for special treatment by CBP. I’m told I can upgrade to non special by presenting my passport book at guest services prior to disembarkation. 😎

Fortunately, we have an advanced scout already checking on the four major cruise food groups. Scotch, beer, bourbon, steak and beer. (don’t nobody get mathy on me now)🤣

I’m seeing Glenlivet, Glenfiddich and Talisker for single malts.

I didn’t spot any single malts, but Black Label is my go to and they have plenty. Also plenty of Wild Turkey and Bulliet. 😎

It was. The beef was forgettable. Unlike the fillet in Ocean Blue on Monday. That was delicious. I asked the server before ordering. Always a good plan with NCL steaks. bonus content: with the cancellation of Pricilla, Six is now the official @ChiefMateJRKworst NCL show. 😎
