Thanks Kenmure - I agree - do you know how easy it is to contact saga quickly if the driver has not been tested ? it would probably be too late to organise port parking so would probably have to get a cab and get reimbursed somehow. is there a direct number for private transfer queries ? I am beginning to think it’s better to drive and park myself now - I still have time to arrange .

Yes - as far as I know - and that includes the driver - unless something has changed recently.

Only danger is if the driver tests positive - I read of someone who had a private saga transfer and the driver tested positive and they were denied boarding.

Luckily I’m just inside the range so we have a private car just for us.

I heard about the change of port - sounds awful - I thought muster drills were gone now ? On p&o you just watch a video in the cabin and scan in at the muster area to show you know where it is ?

Is it easy to specify a time for the private car to arrive ? We are going to Dover at the end of august - anyone know if it’s easy to phone up and change the pick up time ? thanks

A “drink the ship dry” comment does not indicate a quiet civilised get together. It needs to be stamped on quickly otherwise it will ruin peoples holidays and may happen on other cruises. This happened on p&o a while ago when the prices were massively reduced on one cruise at short notice resulting in large groups of drunken youths booking at the last minute causing trouble and spoiling things for others. Yep security will hopefully be able to sort anything out. let’s see what happens - I expect someone will let us know.

At other passengers expense - if they are talking about drinking the ship dry and it’s a stag do it will be disruptive. if it is I hope they get kicked off the ship asap.
