Thank you so much for the information about your tour around Normandy - I was there in 2004 with my (ex-)partner. His grandfather was killed in Normanday after D-day and we were the first family members to visit his grave in Bayeaux in 60 years (neither his wife or 2 sons had been able to visit). You’re right that the sight of the rows and rows of perfectly tended graves are so moving and being there is an amazing experience.

Apologies to Amajaa for jumping in, but I’ve also been looking for information about P4C. From what I can see they meet you at the short stay car park and then they drive the car to their secure parking (I’ve seen a few posts that suggest approx 6 miles each-way) then you go back to their “meet & greet” area in short stay when you get back and they bring the car back there (please correct @amajaaif I’ve misunderstood). If you’re travelling with another adult I guess you could leave them at the terminal with child(ren) then it should be a 2min walk for you to go back to them. Personally my first thought with parking is how much hassle it will be when we get back… when we arrive at the terminal I’m too excited to be annoyed by too much hassle but after disembarkation it will really get me down!

When we tested at Southampton in March it was just a case of dropping the luggage off and then walking across the road to the test centre and joining the queue (we were lucky that when we arrived there wasn’t a queue and we walked straight in). Once tested we joined the (very long) queue to get into the terminal and we got the test results while we were waiting (approx 15 mins). But that was back in March, so anything could have changed since then!
