From responses here, it's looking like we'll choose Escape. The bathroom layout on Epic wasn't much of an issue for us. There really wasn't that much between the itineraries for us to say one was better than the other.

I currently have a cruise booked this August on Epic (9 days out of Barcelona). At the moment, I'm in the position of I have been offered a new job. As of yet, I haven't been given a start date and, until that comes through, I won't know whether or not I have the dates for the cruise off. Now, I could wait until I get confirmation of the start date to make this decision, however, I'm not that patient a person and don't like the idea of waiting too long. I've spoken with my friend who is cruising with me and we decided to cancel and rebook for next year. Because that was our decision, I decided to do a bit of looking at the itinerary we like. Turns out that Epic isn't on that itinerary next year, Escape is. Epic is on an itinerary that is a day longer but still includes ports we'd be interested in. There's not a huge amount to choose between the itineraries and so it comes down to the ships. Those of you who have cruised on both ships, which would you pick?

That's great for my friend. They're hoping that their current health issue clears up before we go away and they can eat what they want, but it's good to know that, if they can't we can swap potatoes for veg.

The UK website version of the T&Cs don't cover my friend's question about Le Bistro and asking if they can have one of the salads (ordered as a starter) served with their main course because they may not be able to eat the sides served with that main course and the menu we're looking at doesn't say anything about being able to change a side (potatoes for other veg).

My friend has just asked me whether or not, if we dine at Le Bistro, they can order one of the salads to be served with their main course?

We will be sailing on the Epic.

My friend and myself are currently trying to work out which speciality restaurants we want to eat at on our cruise next August. We're looking at Wasabi, but I'm not sure how it works with the SDP. Is a single order of sashimi classed as one entree or would we be allowed to order sashimi and yakitori? I'd be grateful for any advice as I'm just feeling confused by it.

I upgraded to FASUP via NCL London. It included 2 unlimited internet.

Got round to adding it onto my booking. The UK cost is lower than I expected, but I was using an online currency converter to give an estimate.

Makes it easier for my to decide about adding it then. I was planning to upgrade the drinks and Wifi packages already. I'd probably also have ended up having to add the dining upgrade, too, so may as well go for it.

For those that have added it on where final payment is not yet due, is it an upfront payment or just added onto the cost of the cruise?

I don't like the look of the Virgin ships. The shape doesn't look right. I don't know exactly what the right shape is to my mind, but that is not it.

I've decided to upgrade the package for the cruise I go on next year. It's a late birthday present to myself and I just really don't want to be dealing with too many added extra costs outside of those incurred off the ship. Having the package helps with that and keeps my anxiety levels down about just how much I might be spending.
