Yes. The challenge you have with hot-spotting is the short range, so you have to have the device that is acting as the hotspot within close proximity to the other devices. You couldn't make your phone a hotspot and be up on the pool deck and then have your kid's phone work in the kid's club. This strategy really only works if you hotspot say, your phone that you always have on you, and then want to connect your laptop and kindle to that.

Oh that means that instead of us paying for a device each, I can purchase it and hot spot to my partner. Essentially saving the price, if that is how I'm reading it.

    Same position as you RBrowny.

Didnt want to put drinks package bids in, incase our YC Upgrade offer was accepted (booking manually shows over 15+ rooms still available) .

Im now concerned its running too close to sailing date (Sunday) and that they will not be notified in good time upgrade was accepted and have the same horror issues that others have had.

    Tempted to remove the offers.

It seems a difficult one, our bid is pretty good for an infinite ocean view room, so I'm just hoping. I don't know how the process works for this, but you'd expect it to be quite simple - it doesn't seem that way.

I think they can notify you three days before, any less and it won't matter as you'll know you won't have the upgrade.

I have looked to see what the estimated temperature will be but we all know that isn’t necessarily the truth.  I live in Massachusetts and we had a day last week that reached 90 degrees and then the next day it was in the 50’s.   I am packing lightweight pants and jacket and hope I don’t need them.  Thank you

Yeah, that's understandable. It's better to be prepared. For me, 50 I will wear shorts 😄

I'm thinking your celsius will be lost on the OP...

Ah yeah, that's true. So 10 = 50 Fahrenheit and 20 is 68, according to Google. Hope this helps!

Unless someone else can confirm this I won’t know until May 28. But I’ve heard a few vloggers say you can. A lot of people aren’t very technical and may not realize the details involved in doing so. We shall see.

I won't know for definite until the 5th of May, so I am before you  😄

I don’t know for sure because I’ve never cruised with MSC before but I’ve heard from a few that you actually can switch devices. They say you have to go to a logout page and then you can login with a different device. I will investigate this in May when we cruise. I know that on Ocean Cay you have to logout on the ship before you can login on the island.  At least that’s what we’ve seen on YouTube.

I would like some clarity on this, if you can switch devices and have just one login - I've not sailed with MSC before, so interested to see if this works. I think the price they are asking for wifi is quite expensive

  7. I'm from the UK, so anything above 10 degrees is warm enough for shorts for me. We are also cruising at the beginning of May. It's about 20 degrees in the places we will visit.

I really hope that the day at sea isn't gala night because we disembark in Barcelona the day after. Hopefully the gala night will be the night before the day at sea after leaving Valetta.

Even better should be if the gala night was the night before Naples since we will arrive there after lunch but I understand that won't happen because lots of people will embark that day in Genoa.

It definitely is the day at sea, it was the same for when the ship was in Dubai.

We get off in Barcelona too, so not sure what we are going to do, especially given they will want our suit cases to move.

If you booked through a Travel agent, then they have to send you the tickets/Boarding pass etc.

The get around that used to work  if booked through a TA and the ship you are sailing on uses the MSC for me app, is to down load that to your phone/tablet, Check in, then it allows you to email the documents to yourself.

Yeah, booked through a TA. I have the app but no where on there says about checking in 😞

Is there a button which says 'email tickets'?

I had a similar screen with no apparent option to check in and the web check in tab did nothing. However, when I selected email tickets, it did.

Yeah, the button is greyed out and not clickable.

MSC USA.  I did as you did above but would not be able to send e-ticket to my email either

This is how I did a couple days ago and it work for me and my cruise is 30 days away.  I just logged into my account (did not use booking number) just user id and password.  At the middle of this page it said HOW TO GET MY E-TICKET. there is a section GO INTO WEB CHECKIN  then below it - my email address already filled in by MSC and at right of it SEND TO MY EMAIL (just hit it and MSC sent it to my email address).  I had tried it several times and it worked each time.

Hope it would work for your site too.  I am glad to get this task completed before the cruise even if I have TA.

    Good Luck.

I've logged into my account and can't see it at all, tried with booking number too. Email is greyed out with the selection for it, so it's not clickable.

  10. First time MSC cruises, and we're patiently waiting for a response regarding a potential upgrade on the MSC World Europa.

Have any of you had upgrades, and if so, how were you notified? We travel in 20 days, so would love to find out more information - then I can get even more excited.

Fingers crossed we get the upgrade.

  11. Hi,

I thought I'd put in here, before going to MSC. Usually get a response much quicker here. We have a cruise in 20 days and although all my information has been provided, I can't see any sort of e-ticket that I can access. Here is what I see:

    image.thumb.png.539e569efae4166a938c7020f97a42e8.png

After pressing Go to Web Check-in, it then displays with this, despite me adding a Credit Card on that will be used:

    image.png.64abd7977b147e0fc1d2d1d407fd5e8a.png

Finally, this is what I see, even though I have filled in everything:

    image.thumb.png.5254ae9a852ebd906c52b5c5477a7918.png

There feels like there's no option to select the passengers to select to web check in, and get sent the e-tickets.

Anyone else had these sort of issues, or any idea how to fix this?

Drink package descriptions for summer 2023 do not exclude coffee in general (just posted them in another thread), but "Lavazza Coffee Shops" - is Coffee Emporium a "Lavazza Coffee Shop"?

I really don't understand why it's so difficult, every few weeks it seems to change. Is it included, are the prices we paid now not valid, do we get to go to speciality places, etc. Seems so strange
