  1. The included dinner package is worth $70 if you buy an advance package (on all except Signature ships). Anniversary promo is one dinner included in each of the restaurants for each passenger. On Signature ships they are throwing in a third dinner at Tamarind. No cost to you (other the the normal higher cabin cost during promos). Advertising states "a $70 value" as that is the price if no promo exists.

Same story as the poor beaten to death Explore 4 Signature Beverage package. The amount they quote in the advertising is what a package would cost if you bought it independent of any promotion.

Thanks for the information as I wasn't sure how the dining credit worked or the OBC under this promotion. This will be my first time on Holland and looking forward to it.

  2. I also booked through a TA. You should have received a HAL Invoice from your TA. On it you will see the OBC for each person you are getting from HAL. On page 2 of the invoice, you will see mention of the Dine Around package and the free 100 minutes of Internet as well as the two $50 Beverage Cards.

The Dine Around package is for a dinner in each of the Pinnacle Grill and Canaletto (also mentioned on the invoice on page 2). It is the same package you can pre-order on line and it costs $35 each.

HAL has no way of knowing what you use your OBC for and yes you can use it for the Hotel Service Charge.

I checked my invoice from my TA and it does show the OBC and Dine Around Package but no dollar amount. Does it cover the cost for both restaurants?

  3. Several have reported that is is just OBC- the ships have no way of separating it out. Looking on my upcoming booking it shows as OBC (if you book through a PCC you can see any OBC- otherwise your TA should be able to see it.

The dining benefit is one reservation in each of the restaurants. You will receive a card in your stateroom with the times and dates of your included dinners.

Thanks for the information. I booked thru a TA and I can't see it myself on the HAL webpage. Good to know that it can be used as OBC. Can it also be used for the hotel charges?

So the 2 restaurants are for dinner?

  4. I also booked under the Anniversary Sale promotion and would like to know the answer too. I was told it can be used for anything on the ship and not strictly for shore excursions, but not 100% sure of this.

Also, how does the $70 dining credit work? Do we get to go to 2 specialty restaurants? Is it for lunch or dinner?

  5. Hi

My husband and I will be on the Getaway in Sept and while there will be celebrating our 30th anniversary. Can you recommend the best specialty restaurant to have dinner in. Looking for a great romantic setting and table for 2! I need to make reservations soon and any suggestions would be great

    Thanks

LeBistro... I always celebrate my birthday their.😁

  6. yes I would recommend this place-we had a studio apartment which was a good size and self catering facilities with microwave but no stove top.

I believe the 1 bedroom apartments have a stove top and are a bit bigger

If you are able bodied you can walk to little mermaid in 10 mins or use bus or train to get into city centre

As my husband has walking difficulties we rested up in the apartment night before the cruise as we had visited Copenhagen before

the whole area is very flat and plenty of bikes around

We would only need a studio. Did you have a bathtub or shower? I saw some pics of bathtubs with only a partial door and people complain about the floor getting wet. Did you experience this? Would you say that it was a bit bathroom area?

We can walk to the bus or train to get to the city. Just looking for a decent place to stay for 4 days prior to our cruise.

  7. we stayed at Adina apartments couple of weeks ago

Front desk called us a taxi which cost 129DKK or $19

we were dropped directly outside luggage drop whereas the bus stop does involve a few hundred yards walk with luggage

Do you recommend staying at the apartment? Was there a lot of room? Is the bathroom big? Do you use the bus to get around or walked everywhere? I'm been looking at hotels to stay at for our cruise next year.
