  1. I received the same offer & I have not cruised Carnival for prob 10 years got on Breeze April 12 8 day southern Caribbean balcony deck 6 for $300 each including taxes fees insurance & tips I'm def not a high roller

so, we've eliminated it being for people who have not cruised in a while (I last sailed 6 months ago), big spenders (I am not), and high VIFP levels (no me again). the best guess I've seen, that applies to me, is doing the online survey after a negative experience. the squeaky wheels getting oiled?

I think I'll go to Belize, as I will be in Galveston in May anyway. Definitely, upgrading to the balcony.

    No we haven't.

  2. Is it wrong for me to bring my husband?

If you have an invitation, bring your husband. It your cruise! There sure are some sensitive cruisers in this thread. Is it really a party? A few drinks, nasty appetizers, and the same old film!!

  3. Let me just say that there really isn't alot of information to be found in these. It basically is one front page telling you what to expect for that particular day and then on the third page it just gives you a listing of where and when events will be happening.

How are they different from any other ship or cruiseline?

  4. I went there (because you mentioned this site) and I like their prices a lot, in some cases--I'd love to hear from others who've used this site.

Did you call Continental? I can't figure out a way to input that you only want the hotel 2 nights, but are flying after 10 days.

We went with Ex..dia, but if you want to search for 2 nights on Continentals website go to the vacation section and click on the additional booking option link. On the next page check the box "I only need a hotel for part of my trip" Hope that helps.

  5. Kcarp, I just put our dates in on the Continental website and the price was 585 per person non-stop from Newark to Honolulu. Of course that is for coach. I was really surprised how cheap it was. That is really reasonable.

Yeah, we booked a package and got flight/hotel 2 nights Outrigger on the Beach $750 per person.

  6. Not really that much of a perk.

Unless you drink at least 7 drinks per day, every day, you don't even break even. I would have 7 drinks gone before noon! That includes port days, where you might not even be on the ship much before dinner time.

Basically if cost is really an issue, buying a set of Rum Runners is still your best bet.

They would lose money on us! :D
