I wish they would restart a Dubai cruise as mine was cancelled due to the issues with Iran. Also, I would love them to base a ship in Alaska for a season and provide the convenience of a fly cruise as they do in the Caribbean.

Hi, I am a first time cruiser on NCL and having cruised on a few other lines, know they all handle this differently. Can you please tell me if shuttle buses are provided when the ship doesn’t dock in the town? If so, is there a cost for them? If there is a cost, can ‘excursion credit’ be used towards it? This is for a European cruise, if it makes any difference 😊

We holidayed in a beautiful 5* hotel in Kos in June and they had a sunbed rule that was strictly adhered to by all their pool and beach staff. All empty beds were cleared after 1 hour. It was amazing because beds were always available and no one got up at the crack of dawn to reserve them. I didn’t see any arguments about this at all. It shows it can be done and I wish the ships would follow this policy.

We had a 2 week cruise on Iona in March and loved it! We wondered if we would find it too big but didn’t at all. Yes, it is further to walk from one destination to another but that’s not a bad thing unless mobility is an issue. We loved the extra choice the larger ship offered with regards to dining and entertainment, as part of our love of cruising is the feeling of ‘having a night out’ every night. Previously, the smallest ship we had been on was Oceana many years ago. We would definitely book Iona again or Arvia. There was less choice in the MDR than before but what we had was nice. If the cruise price is good, adding extra for some additional dining still keeps the overall price competitive. I wouldn’t bother with the drinks package, we drank quite a lot and most of what we had wasn’t available on the package, e.g. large wines, double spirits and expensive cocktails. Our final bill was 2/3 of the package price so win, win 💵😀
