    I've heard some people recommend the bread pudding from Lido, somebody mentioned peanut butter pie. What are your favorite or most memorable complimentary dishes from your HAL cruise?

    This year Koningsdam has a handful of cruises out of San Diego. I'm new to the cruising scene, but is San Diego a permanent fixture for HAL? I'm sure places like Seattle, Vancouver, Miami are considered permanent bases for their cruises to Alaska and Caribbean. So is San Diego also a permanent base? or is it more of a one-off just this year?

    Is there a way to avoid being too late for lunch? That would be a pretty big disappointment to start your cruise.

    I imagine the MDR would be all nice and quiet, with the Lido quite bustling. Is that true? Also, is it possible that HAL would assign you a boarding time that is too late to make it for lunch?

    What do you like to make your first embarkation meal? Mdr? Lido? Dive in? Pizza? Other?

    My wife and I both downloaded the Navigator app and have logged in with our booking, but there doesn't seem to be a way to start chatting on the app? Is this because our cruise hasn't started yet? or am I doing something wrong

    Wow, there is a hidden staff food location? I'm surprised there haven't been cases of guests sneaking into the staff food locations and eating with the staff.

    On that note, where actually do the crew eat throughout the day? Do they just come into the lido market and eat whenever they have an off time?

    Is the late night snack menu listed anywhere? or is it just the same menu as the Lido dinner menu? How have you found these late night snacks?

    I'm curious, what specifically makes you think the food quality on Princess is lower?

    I ran into this on youtube. It looks like a production show that HAL did way back in 2014. When and why did HAL get away from doing this kind of show? The dance troupe looks a lot less appealing than what they used to do

    Between HAL and Princess, which show did you like more? HAL seems to have more refined taste shows, with the BBC shows and such. Princess seems to have more energetic broadway shows.

    Have you been to Dive-In burger yet? Just quick question: The "Freestyle" burger says grilled portabello mushroom, but is this in place of the beef burger or is it in addition to the beef burger?

    Ok so its self-graded and whatever? it sounds pretty low-key rather than theatrical or game-showy? The way you described it sounds like a exam at the DMV or something?

    Do all the events at the fitness center cost money to join in? "sunrise stretch" "abs workout"

    How exactly do the trivia games work? How many people are on a team? is there an audience that watches? Is there a buzzer that you hit? Are there prizes for winning?

    Particularly the free ones, but what are your favorite daily activities? I see a lot of trivia, photo opportunities, etc. Not sure if they are worth it to go.

    Is Princess usually on and off for SD? Or was 2022 a bit of a outlier in having cruises out of SD?

    Yeah I see Fall cruises out of LA for 2023. But I don't see any out of SD.

    I did look, but I don't see anything out of San Diego past February 2023. So I didn't know if this means that they A) Plan to do more cruises from SD in the coming seasons but have not released the schedule yet or B) Do not plan on having regular cruises out of SD beyond February 2023

    When does Princess release 2023 schedule? I checked icruise.com but I don't see any cruises available for Fall 2023 yet. Also, will Princess continue to operate out of San Diego? I know they had a few cruises until February 2023 out of SD, but will that continue the following years? or is it just a one time offering?

    How far in advance do cruise lines usually make their cruises available? I would under the impression that you could book a cruise 2 or 3 years in advance, but is that no so?

    Just to confirm, my cruise is with HAL on December 3rd from San Diego to Mexican Riviera. I am vaccinated (but not boosted). Does this mean that I do not need to get covid testing before embarkation?
