Are there any free or low-cost Covid Tests acceptable for HAL? Does HAL accept at-home covid tests? I just tried booking covid test on CVS, and it said it cost $139 for the test. I live in San Diego, CA btw.

Could you get away with just a button shirt and slack pants? (without jacket, tie, etc)

What was wrong with the Princes cruise?

In my city, in November a 7 night HAL cruise is currently priced at $360. Also in November, 7 night Princess cruise is priced at $560. Why does HAL seem to cost a good deal less than Princess? From what I have seen, the 2 experiences are largely the same. Maybe the only significant difference that I see is that Princess has Broadway-style production shows, while HAL has a more tame production.

Actually they assigned me room 4126 as a free upgrade. I'm not familiar with the halfacts website. But I believe this room is right in front of the tender boats. So I don't think its in between boats. Do you have to be tall to see over the boats?

I was offered a cabin upgrade from inside stateroom to obstructed view room on Beethoven deck of Koningsdam. Anybody with experiences of these rooms? How are they? Is the obstruction very bad? (any photos would be helpful)

I already have a 7 day cruise booked for December 3rd this year with HAL. Very looking forward to it. But it seems like cruise prices are at an all time low right now, and I was thinking maybe I should book another 4 night cruise in November while the prices are low. For example, Royal Caribbean has a 4 night cruise for $150 (plus taxes and fees) in November. Do you think I should book this? I'm worried that squeezing in another cruise so close to the December one will take away from the freshness and enjoyment of the December cruise. Maybe i should put at least 6 months to a year in between cruises to keep it fresh? Or do you expect that in 2023, the prices will stay low or rise significantly?

I see several 7 day Mexico routes in 2022 in November and December. But in 2023, those Nov/Dec routes don't show up.

I've been searching for HAL cruises at the nearest port for me, which is San Diego. I notice that this year in 2022, there are a lot of cruises. But I notice that in 2023, there are almost none, and the ship is different as well. Does HAL have a annual base schedule that they stick to every year? or is it basically random every year? Will they be back in San Diego in the future?

Do passengers have breakfast and/or lunch on debarkation day? If so, which options are open on debarkation day?
