  1. Enjoy your cruise! I'm not booked on these sailings, but I saw the favorable pricing and figured I'd spend the word 👍
  2. I ask because the price history shows a lowest price Sky Suite at just over $7k/pp on the day after release. As mentioned, the RS for the 8/4 sailing is $5521 per person, which is lower than the initial selling price of the lowest Sky Suite. You are able to change stateroom selection at the current rates prior to final payment, which in this case would be an upgrade in category and a decrease in cost assuming you confirmed the booking around that $7k/pp price.
  3. Noticed this on CruisePlum today and thought I'd spread the word in case anyone could benefit or find value. This alert pertains to the following sailings for Eclipse 8/4/24 - 12 night TA from Cape Liberty to Reykjavik 8/16/24 - 12 night TA from Reykjavik to Boston We're outside of final payment date for these sailings so any price adjustments to current rates should be honored. 93 days out for the 8/4 sailing and 105 days out for the 8/16 sailing. This mostly pertains to the Retreat rooms, but pretty much any other category is priced lower than has ever been offered for these sailings, so it's worth calling in to see what price difference there may be. Most significant drop is for the Sky Suites for both sailings. Around $4000pp for an SS, which isn't a crazy good deal, but for this unique itinerary, it's a decent price. What's a really good deal is the $5,521pp price for a RS on the 8/4 sailing (currently it's the lowest price per day RS available on all Celebrity sailings). There are currently 3 RS available on that sailing. Anyone with active bookings on these sailings should take a look at what money they can save by repricing or potentially upgrading your category at a lower price. Happy hunting, and act fast because these prices won't be valid for long.
  4. Very nice value in regards to credit card points when these Virgin Voyages offers come along. In fact, it's likely the best cruise-related redemption value in the industry. We're talking at or above 2 cents per point value with these offers, which can be enhanced even more with point transfer promotions. If I didn't just have a new baby born, I would be jumping on one of these in a heartbeat.
  5. Unless something has changed recently, drinks in the suite lounge are complimentary regardless of whether you have a drink package or not. However, drinks on the suite sun deck are not complimentary.
  6. For folks who want to read articles behind paywalls, simply go to the site: https://archive.md/ And paste in the URL of the article. Works like a charm and is 100% legit
  7. Saling 12/30/24 on Silhouette and looking to potentially get a dining package or reserve a specialty restaurant for New Years. However, the dining page in the cruise planner has nothing to purchase. What's weird is the Silhouette sailings before and after have dining options available for purchase. My guess is whoever in charge of updating the cruise planner skipped past my sailing. Other items like drink packages and shore excursions are available. Thoughts on whether calling in would be worthwhile, or should I just wait for it eventially to be updated?
  8. Some carriers extend data coverage internationally for free or offer daily international passes. Looking into this rather than trying to find free wifi in a foreign country without a VPN is probably not the best idea. Do make sure to turn airplane mode on when on the ship.
  9. Is it possible you moved a previous NRD itinerary to this one? $100 is consistent with their change fee.
  10. It's been done in the past, so it's not out of the realm of possibility. Also crew quarantine could be a reason.
  11. I'll echo the comments regarding the Retreat Privelege package. Before requesting the package, I'd first see if they could move one of your teens into the MS room so that you would have 3 in the MS and 2 in the veranda room. That way you'd only have to pay for the privelage package for one person (under 12 is free). In my opinion, it would be worthwhile to get everyone Retreat access so everyone has access to the whole ship. Please report back with what you end up doing 👍
  12. This happened frequently during covid with interior rooms as entire hallways of rooms were reserved for covid quarantine. I'm not saying that's happening on your cruise, but it's possible they have a bug going around and need to keep those rooms open for guest/crew quarantine. Something to keep in mind
  13. I see aqua class as Celebrity's decoy effect for their Retreat rooms. Similarly at a coffee shop they charge only a fraction more for a large versus a medium, so naturally, you get the large. They actually diminished this decoy effect when they eliminated obligatory AI fares for their aqua rooms, but it's still present.
  14. Well I guess there's gonna be a cruise critic concierge cabin party on deck 8 🥳 I just have a hold on this one at the moment. I don't think our family can swing this as our kids will be 1 and 4 at the time and we already have a Crown loft booked for Wonder of the Seas January 2026.
  15. It does appear they either closed out or sold all the prime concierge cabins. Congrats to everyone who locked the price in!
  16. I didn't spot any other significant deals from today's deployment, although I'm glad you benefited from my find 👍
  17. Very good price for concierge cabins on this recently released itinerary for Summit 11/10/25, 10 night eastern Caribbean. Less than $100pppd Prime Concierge is also refundable at the lowest rate. Act fast as they are likely to bump the price quickly. https://www.celebritycruises.com/itinerary-details/10-night-eastern-caribbean-cruise-from-fort-lauderdale-florida'?packageID=SM10L101&cCD=CO&sDT=2025-11-10

  19. With it being a short 4 night Bahamas itinerary in the Summer, I would assume there would be a decent amount of people in their 20s. I'm sure your son will have an enjoyable cruise regardless and I don't think you have anything to worry about.
  20. What would be the pecking order for CK reservations? Would it be 1. GS and above 2. JS 3. Pinnacles
  21. Looks like Celebrity revamped their gift card offering. My assumption is existing gift cards still carry the previous rules & restrictions. Here are my takeaways. - Gift cards can be used either for cruise purchase OR onboard expenses What's not clear is whether gift cards can be used for cruise reservations booked through travel agents. - Gift cards are redeemable with either Celebrity OR Royal Caribbean - The only limitation on usage is $10,000 per calendar day (previously $500/person or $1000 per stateroom), which seems irrelevant because the max value you can purchase is $2000 - You can't use the funds at the casino - Only available within the United States - You can get a return credit for refunded merchandise or refundable payments. See below from the Terms "If your cruise or other type booking originally purchased with an eGift Card is cancelled, or you return merchandise originally purchased with an eGift Card, any refund will be issued in the form of a replacement eGift Card, an account credit with an Affiliate, or a future cruise credit, in AEN's reasonable discretion."
