like a tea towel on each side of the bed. We told our stewardess not to bother with them, no problem.

Tonight I asked if they had sparkling Vero water...they did, and it was lovely.

On Regatta now. Vero in cabins and at restaurants. Sparkling water still in usual bottles in GDR. Disposable plastic bottles for on shore.

Cabins look GREAT!!!! Nightlight in bathroom great. Shower doors are great. No artwork hanging over seating area in cabin yet. Walls don't seem to be magnetic anymore..., but there are 3 hooks on wall across from bed in our cabin. Plastic drinking cups in bathroom now(smart) Better storage of paperwork on desk. Plug and USB at each side of bed, 2 plugs and 2 USB at desk. Public areas beautiful!
Elevator doors and panels inside seem to have some sort of protective covering on them, which can be peeled back. Don't know when it will come off... Also unsure, but think some hallway walls also have same protective covering.

Booked my first guarantee in May for a Panama Canal cruise this month. Booked a B2 guarantee.
One month and one day before sailing, was a signed a B1, but wasn't thrilled with cabin (connecting door, over lounge), but thems the breaks.
About 2 hrs later my wonderful TA, who knows I LOVE aft cabins, called, and offered me an A1 aft view cabin for $400 CAD each. An aft cabin for a Canal cruise, how wonderful!!! Plus 2 more specialties! I wouldn't have paid to go to any other A cabin.

Thanks for the warning. We do have a US based credit card if needed, but really hope to just be buying refreshments!

Thanks everyone! Travelling with only USD makes life easier! Apologies again for all the repeats, and thanks for the replies!

We will be in Mexico,Costa Rica and Colombia on a Panama Canal cruise. I feel pretty sure that all 3 countries accept USD, but is it a GOOD exchange rate, or is it better to get local currency?

We really enjoyed the farmhouse culinary experience! A great meal after making tiramisu and pasta. And LOTS of vino!

We (fellow Canadians) were with Medipac(health insurance only) for a while, but now are with Travel Insurance Specialists for medical. Medipac was also great, settled a claim with no problem, but now I am not eligible for it.

Last year was our first year with TIS, and a claim was no problem. I am just about to buy insurance for 2019-2020, as we are Snowbirds and buy a multi trip policy, but they also cover single trips, and you can get as short as a one month stability period for changes in medications that you have been on.
God, I sound like an invalid!
Whatever you choose, read well!
I use Travelguard for cancellation insurance only, but you can get medical with them as well.

Fabrizio was wonderful! Ask him to make sure you have lunch at the restaurant overlooking Positano!

I DO hear a lot of people here in Canada call them "stints", but it is stents. I think it's because they are familiar with the word "stint". Kinda like how people say "prostrate" instead of prostate.
Get well soon, Bob!

Just off Regatta, first cruise after refurb. We had North American style plug by bed, don't remember if also a European one.
