  1. For what it’s worth, I sail in two days and I have not received any word on my bids being accepted. But all the haven cabins showed as sold out this morning, and others on here have stated their bids for the same sailing were accepted……so it seems that NCL does NOT always inform you that your bids aren’t accepted. YMMV.
  2. Along with the room service attendant that randomly just decides to stay and work as a waiter because no one else on the boat is ordering room service. Totally logical. Have a Bar Mitzvah out there! That's what balconies are for.
  3. For NCL, yes, check their page. https://www.ncl.com/sail-safe For your destination, it depends. You would want to check the local governments website. I don't use the NCL website for that, they are not updated in my experience. For instance, I received an email from NCL today telling me I had to upload my negative test results for Bermuda or I might not be able to board, but that has not been the rule with Bermuda for a few weeks now.
  4. Farmingdale. I usually use CVS...but their minute clinic was too far away.
  5. I called Walgreens and told them that 3 people were coming at the same time to do tests. They said that's fine, but ALL THREE need appointments because they have to be in the system for testing. So I was forced to take 3 appts, each 15 mins apart, to get us in the system, but Walgreens says we can all test at once out of the same car. That's what I was told. YMMV That being said...why wouldn't you call Walgreens and just ask? People on this board are from all over and their Walgreens might all behave differently.
  6. Some people find other uses for Balconies...but we won't mention that here.
  7. I applied 5/11 for three people. Mine came in on the 24th. The other two are not processed yet. I called the toll free number and was on hold for only 49 minutes. I was told “you have 8 days till your sailing, you’ll get approved in time. Have a nice day.” I got the feeling that they were tired of talking to Americans that day.
  8. I’m confused by this thread. Between posters obviously trolling with misinformation, and posters unwilling to do the simplest google searches for menus and costs (instead relying on other forum posters to do all the legwork for them). Very strange. The original question seems to have been answered very well on the first page. Everything beyond that is a matter of preference. For instance, I NEVER eat at teppanyaki because one could go deaf eating there. I like quiet intimate meals with the husband…not loud banging and chefs that insist on doing a stand up routine with you. But once again, that’s my preference. It seems like it would be a good idea for some of the people asking questions here to just go pull up a menu, add up the cost of the meal they would order if they happened to be on the ship, and compare it with the cost of the package. Simple, no? Much better than trusting some rando on this forum …. because we have a couple of interesting ones posting here. If you get the package, you (and the person dining with you) are entitled to one appetizer, one entree, and one dessert each (although they don’t mind giving extra appetizers at no cost). So go price that out. If you aren’t going to eat that much (let’s say you only want chocolate layer cake from Cagney’s) then the package is not worth it. I find the package to be worthwhile. We don’t know your tastes or what you eat. Take the links other posters have kindly offered you and do just a little research. Lord help us with the lazy. It’s YOUR vacation and money!
  9. https://www.ncl.com/sail-safe first paragraph. Information like this it’s best to just go directly to the NCL site and not rely on Internet forums.
