I believe you are right. I think it was free when it was first introduced into the Royal System. However, they saw the light and just how popular it was and realized that they were losing $$$$. JMHO Even at ~$12.00 it's a bargain. My last visit to a Johnny Rockets was a few weeks ago in Windsor, Canada, Caesars Casino. For 4 of us, the bill came to over $120.00, tip not included. I know you may not know the answer to this, not sure what your experience is. But, your statement made me think of this, something I've been wondering about for some time now. So, this is for anybody that may know. Does this mean that the "Status" discount can not be stacked with other discounts? If it can't be stacked with SOME other discounts, do you know which ones? In other words, which discounts are stackable? And which are/are not stackable with which? This topic couldn't have come up at a better time. We search and dig and spend a lot of time looking for discounts with just about everything we do. It's my wife's favorite past time is shopping/searching for discounts and deals. And I was just think about that last night. Our cruise in October (Oceanview, spacious Balcony on Independence), we had so many discounts, we wound up just paying for taxes and fees (talking about just the fare). The first ever competent RCCL Phone Answerer I've ever experienced suggested that we don't pre-pay the Gratuities and pay for them on the ship as we could us our BOA Royal Visa C.C. reward points to pay for them because you can't use the reward points for that in advance/paying for the booking.

Yes, for sure. And a customer service/hospitality business should allow their employees to communicate with their customers/guests unincumbered.
