  1. Willdra thanks so much for another one of your fab reviews. We were on the Vista for New Years and had the best cruise in over 20 years. Your pictures bring back such good memories of good times and good food. You say you have the Horizon booked already well so do we for 10/6/18. We loved the Vista and I'm sure we will all love the Horizon. We were both on the same cruise last year but there was no M&M so we never got to meet. Sorry for that. Can't wait for the rest of your review.

  2. In March we went to the Steak House the first night on the Sunshine and bought 3 bottles of quality wine from their wine list. Took 2 and a half bottles back to our room and enjoyed the wine in the MDR all week long. All at half price, good deal.:D

  3. ;p Get a Kindle Fire and bring what ever books you want. We both have one and I have 3 books going right now and many waiting. We are great Amazon fans and really enjoy the kindle. They also allow you to access the internet, get E-Mail and play all sorts of games. What great little computer they are.

  4. :( We have not sailed RCI for over 10 years. I am not familiar with YTD and I was forced to take that to get a booking on the Oasis for this Sept. I understand that I can reserve the same time dinning for each night but do not know how to do it. I would be thankful for any input from experienced RCI cruises. Thank you in advance.

  5. :)Just one point more about security and you key card. Your picture is on it and any time you buy something or the card is scanned you picture will come up. If some idiot steals your key card and tries to use it i don't think he or she will look like you. No worries be happy.

  6. ;p Love the Sunshine have sailed her 4 times and have more booked. We go out of Port Canaveral because its so close. The Magic in not one of our favorite ships so we jump on the Sunshine when we can. The crew has always been the best and the food is some of the best in the Carnival fleet IMHO. Love the Havana bar area for lunch with the Italian food and Mongolian wok can't be beat unless of course yo like BBQ on sea days then its there as well. Get the idea? it's a great ship and we can't wait for our next cruise. Have fun on the Sunshine.

  7.

I agree with all the positive comments above and then some. We have sailed the Sunshine 4 times now and have it booked for 3 more cruises. Can't go wrong with the Sunshine. Some of the best food, crew and Officers in the Carnival fleet. Pay no attention to the reports of crowding unless you spend a lot of time in the pool. The serenity deck is great as is the Red Frog Pub. Go enjoy it all. ;p

  8. ;p It's not just you Timmy most of us on this board feel the same way. Every time I read a positive post or a review of a ship I have been on makes me want to get on a ship as soon as possible. For us it will be Sept. 10,2017. Oh no I have to wait that long? (He sobs) :loudcry:

  9. ;p Old San Juan is one of the best ports we have been to. We have been several times and still look forward to another visit. You can spend an entire day exploring just one of the two forts in Old San Juan. The city streets are full of old buildings that are kept mostly in good shape. We are told by people that have been to Spain that the area reminds them of Spain.

St. Thomas is another great port to just roam around, good restaurants and shops all over the place. Good site seeing tours as well. Most of the ports in the Caribbean have nice tours that do not include the water. Have fun and happy cruising.:D

  10. ;pOrder the Duck then order the Duck and order one to go. If you leave JiJi"s hungry you did some thing wrong. Well worth the $30. We always leave a tip even though it is included in the price. Great service great food how can you beat it. Also try the Italian restaurant it's fantastic.

  11. We have sailed the Sunshine 3 times now and have 3 more booked out of Port Canaveral. One of our favorite ships in

the Carnival fleet. My next pick would be the Vista. On the Sunshine you will find some of the new innovations found on the Vista. The crew is fantastic, the Officers are friendly and all are very helpful. There are so many places to eat and food choices we never have a problem find a good meal. As for the crowds we did not take notice but yes there are more people on the ship then say the Glory. Never so overwhelming as to make us wish for another ship. The theater is the one draw back. The way it is put together makes no sense at all. But the shows are good and it Dr. E ( it may be DR. D) the the CD when you cruise you will more the enjoy him and his staff. For me the Sunshine is one of the best and good choice for your start as a Carnival fan. Happy cruising and enjoy the Sunshine on teh Sunshine.

  12. ;p I always go on the last day of the cruise for a printout of our folio. If the is a mistake I have the entire day to have it corrected or I guess I could wait until the last morning when every one is trying to get off the ship and straighten out the mistakes on their folios before they get off. After over 40 cruises I find my method a good one. Try it you will like. Happy cruising.

  13. ;p My wife and I are in our 70's and love Carnival (44 crises and counting). We have tried RCI NCL Princess and have always come back to Carnival for the fun and atmosphere. We have sailed the Sunshine 3 times and love the ship and the crew. Happy cruising.

  14. ;p

Love the thirsty frog and his beer. I have never seen it at the pool side bar but I have seen it at the Atrium bar on tap.

Great Red Frog on the Magic but the Vista is the best. They brew the beer right there and you can sample them all if you take the Pub Tour. Have a great cruise. Don't forget live thirsty.

  15. ;p Don't stress the stress until you feel stressed (LOL). Really don't make a problem some one else had yours. You know what cruising is all about so prepare you children for what to expect. Don't down play the boat drill just do it. After that you have it made. It's like a long road trip (are we there yet?). If you enjoy your cruise half as much as we enjoy all ours you all will have a ball. Don't listen to all the complaining on this board it's you experience that counts. Have a great cruise.
