  1. I worked for a symphony orchestra for several years…in marketing. The string musicians said you call the instrument a fiddle when you’re buying it, and a violin when your selling it😀. I really enjoyed the classical music played by piano and string quartet on Lincoln Center stage twice daily when we sailed on Neiuw Statendam last Oct. ( until we were quarantined w Covid, but that’s another story). Hope they will still be performing on our NS cruise next month.
  2. I’ve been on hold for over an hour trying to talk w HAL re FCC we were promised after spending 10 days in quarantine on our Oct. cruise. Our travel agent has tried to no avail and our “personal cruise concierge” has also failed to get anywhere with them. Does anyone at HAL read comments on Cruise Critic? I’d appreciate advice on getting this resolved. At this point, I’d never recommend that any of my cruise loving friends ever take another HAL cruise!
  3. My husband and I spent 12 days of a 14 day cruise in quarentine in Oct. on the Neu Statendam. We did “the right thing” and turned ourselves in. Very elderly population on HAL ships. Really didn’t want to risk infecting others. We were promised future cruise credits for each of the days we were quarentined. We’ve been trying to book another HAL cruise using these promised credits and can’t get anywhere through our travel agent or the HAL “cruise concierge”. I’ll never book another HAL cruise if they don’t get this straightened out. Any advice cruisers?
  4. iPhone and Samsung galaxy. Assume it’s latest version of Navigator. Just down loaded it couple weeks ago. Yes, pass is available online. Guess I’ll be showing that to embarkation officials!
  5. The Navigator app does not display our boarding pass or the excursions I thought we had purchased. Our cruise embarking on Oct. 8, so information should appear on app. Our other information on our booking, etc. does display. I’ve called HAL several times on this. They just say they’re having difficulties for some passengers and to try again. Anyone have any advice for us? Our TA is also trying to get it figured out.
  6. I did finally get someone on phone w Holland this evening re our question about late boarding. She says to contact them again after we get our boarding pass in a couple weeks, and they would make a notation on it saying we would be arriving late. Didn’t think it would be a problem. Yay.
  7. We are on cruise Oct 8, embarking in Quebec. The ship doesn’t depart until the next day. Question…we are traveling from Montreal via train on the 8th and won’t be boarding ship until at least 8 pm. Will that be a problem?
