I can forgive slower service. 90% of the time the worker is working their tail off and it’s a short staffing issue. Can’t take that out on the worker. And people who do are jerks. Same with new employees learning. But the reefer smell would send me into a tailspin. Most vile, disgusting habit there is. Right up there with cigarettes. All should be banned onboard. For safety and comfort.

We avoid traveling during school holidays. Especially when we ski. Too expensive, too crowded, and frankly, too loud and hectic with little tikes under foot everywhere. Glad to hear you had an enjoyable first week. And I agree- outrageous price for a massage.

1) Last time my wife and I cruised was before COVID on Zaandam. In the exploration cafe area, we found photocopies of NYT crosswords and USA Today crosswords. Cruising Rotterdam in a few weeks. Will that be available again? Perfect way to relax on the balcony. 2) Is it worth it to buy a thermal suite pass? It was $392 for the two of us. Couldn’t find exactly what it includes and if there is a daily time limit. We will be using the fitness center daily but we’re not interested in massages. The wife may get her hair done once or twice as a treat. But having a nice relaxing area with a sauna sounds like something my wife would like.

Too bad. Saw a 11 night interior for $249.

Can I purchase a stateroom on a cruise to earn the cruise credits (7 for a 7 night cruise) without actually taking the cruise?

You care an awful lot about how and why people like to spend time alone. The last thing I want to do on my vacation is maintain the small talk I find myself always having to make at work. A vacation to me is spending the evening with my wife, who I don’t get to see as often as I would like since we are both pilots and are rarely home together. It’s enough for me to have a quick 30 second conversation with the guy standing next to me at the bar when ordering a drink. I don’t want to spend 2 hours with a stranger. My wife is the same way. And we aren’t young millennials either. We are both 46.
