Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. The online form wouldn't submit for you? If so, this is good to know as I am running into this issue now. Thought it was me lol.
  2. I definitely don't think they're lying necessarily. However, I do see how some might be concerned about Project Discovery happening. I think it's fair to say that many of us were surprised by the announcement of a seventh Oasis-class ship for 2028, for example. At the same time, would the captains be talking so openly about it during Captains Corner events if it really weren't going to happen? I think not. It also seems that the captains are revealing a lot of details, which makes me wonder if an announcement is imminent within the next few months. It's not just one captain now; it seems that several are talking about it. That personally gives me hope. I'm particularly interested in Discovery because Royal typically deploys the Radiance-class ships to Boston each fall, and I would love to see something newer come here. I'm definitely hopeful."
  3. Cool, wonder if He'll still be onboard for the May 31 Sailing.
  4. Would they really want to miss out on having a ship in Cape Liberty for the spring break season though? I would assume those sailings are popular.
  5. Heck, maybe royal should start their 2026 deployment in Boston in July instead of waiting for September. Then again, I just want royal to keep a ship deploy here for a longer period. 😂
  6. Darn! As intrigued as I am by the Oasis and Icon classes, sailing my first Oasis ship in May, I would love to see a class of smaller ships. Loved my sailing on Serenade last October, but I know she's getting up there in years. Vision class is even older. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
  7. Honestly, I did not see this coming. Thought they would be all in on Icon class at this point. Now the big question, what will the name of this ship be? My personal choice, Melody of the Seas.
  8. Quite pleased with the options out of Boston on the Brilliance. Especially excited that the September 21 and October 19 cruises include a stop in Prince Edward Island. Also, prices seem to be about the same as those offered on the Jewel this year. Not bad.
  9. So, who's excited for the Northeast deployment this week? Ready to see what will be offered out of Boston on the Brilliance.
  10. The Northeast deployments will be released the week of February 12.
  11. TBH, I'm surprised how long it took Royal to add Destination Dispatch Elevator technology to their ships. Carnival started with the Vista class in 2016. I know they tried it for a brief time on Harmony in 2017, but have no idea why they decided to abandon it there. Something interesting, I believe this might be the first KONE Destination Dispatch system on a cruise ship. Carnival and MSC use a Schindler system.
  12. Odyssey very likely will if it does in fact return to Bayonne in the fall of 2025.
  13. Not going to lie, still wish Grandeur was coming here in the fall. I wouldn't normally go out of my way to sail on her, but her sailing so close to home would be tempting, an easy way to experience Royal's oldest ship. Also, Boston itineraries went way up when they switched over to Jewel.
