  1. I'm crossing fingers and toes for the new neurologist. And for your pest guy.
  2. Yes, Galveston has fog issues, but w/it being a drivable port for me, I would love to see HAL add it, but know that won't happen. I've sailed both Carnival and Princess from Galveston and may likely add MSC.
  3. Dec '22 and Feb '23 on K'dam we were given vibrating flashing pagers (like Dive In Burgers uses) when there was a line for As You Wish dining.
  4. Congrats! So exciting and yes LOTS to celebrate 🥳 🎉 Go pack 🧳 NOW!! Then travel safely this weekend and have fun!⛴️
  5. Congrats! That's a pretty respectable turnaround time.
  6. I was correct that this morning would be final OT session - unless something major happens or I get referred back to her. She gave me contact info for another neurologist I might want to see for a 2nd opinion. She seems to think very highly of him. Since my insurance doesn't require a referral, I'm going to call him. She was flabbergasted to learn my neurologist response to me asking if he would sign the LOA papers to allow me time to acclimate to the meds was to tell me to stop taking them. She said I really need to work on my left hand strength. The frozen shoulder has impacted my grip strength to the point she says it's on the verge of being dangerously weak. Eeeks. HR rescheduled our call to later this afternoon, so no update on that.
  7. Hugs 🫂 🤗 and prayers 🙏 @Heartgrove as you feel the weight of your decision and approach Sam's appointment. He's a beautiful boy and I know your heart is both full & breaking at this time. I hope you're able to carve some time with him this week 💔❤️
  8. No, but you can either cancel which triggers a refund and rebook using HIA credits or once onboard ask Shore Exc to move them excursions and refund your CC. A couple watch outs: if the excursions are sold out or nearing capacity, you risk losing your spots by canceling and rebooking. Also, canceling & rebooking puts you in jeopardy of paying a higher price if there's been an increase.
  9. Heading out to OT this morning for what is likely the final session. She said last month she thought we didn't need to meet again - she got Dr to sign a letter of recommended equipment for work, showed me strengthening exercises & inquired about my willingness to take meds, so she thought she'd done what she could/should. I think maybe she'll do some assessments to chart current levels 🤷‍♀️ If the OT session is a quick one, I'll stop by the produce market on way home; they have the best radishes 😋 I have a call w/HR this morning- they scheduled, not me. Should be interesting. Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all.
  10. Thank goodness this is a 5-day cruise so no danger of a Booze Cruise, lol. I really considered that when deciding whether or not to book, but the time and price were right, so here I go. I plan on trying to do a Live review if work schedule permits and I will happily share my thoughts of the ship. I have only been on Carnival, Princess and HAL, so I'm excited to see something different. I'm hoping it goes well as my DH has agreed to do a European cruise if it does.🤞
  11. Have you notified your local law enforcement or fire department that you didn't evacuate so they would know to look for you in case something does happen? I agree driving in the dark would not be wise. I pray 🙏you stay safe.
  12. CC is really frustrating me these last few days - yesterday it was stripping pictures, today it keeps eating my post. I'm going to try this one more time, after which if it disappears, I'll be waving the white flag.🤔 Here's an abridged version: first MSC cruise ⛴️, status matched to Diamond, booked OV Gty & when I received cabin assignment today it's an unobstructed balcony. Insert [Happy Dance] here.😎 Also received an invite to bid on an upgrade, which I'm going to pass on (and hope that does not negatively impact future offers). $65 for a premium balcony I don't think is horrible, but I want to see how I like the balcony I got (which looks larger than some) before I pay to change. Part of this test is to see how well I can tolerate spending less on bookings so I can cruise more; buying the upgrade kinda voids that part of the test. $350 including trip protection for 4 nights solo balcony. Used a trip credit for the ✈️ ✈️. No parking at airport as DH will drop me off & pick me up. Printed boarding pass & luggage 🧳 tags today. Neurologist appt was frustrating this morning - he was 90 min late. Luckily I was 2nd person called back, so I was still able to make a work call that I was hosting that I couldn't move. Instead of signing the leave papers, he took me off the medication. 🤷‍♀️ Tomorrow AM is OT, probably the last one. Unfortunately disappointing day for USA 🇺🇸 female gymnastics today. 🙏 those in Debby's path stay safe. Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all. Starboard, mid-ship. I prefer port (when I can't have aft) and don't like connecting cabins...
  13. Happy Birthday @puppycanducruise🍰🥳🎈🎈 sending double balloons since I'm late.
  14. Congrats and enjoy the weather - wish I had stowed away in your luggage. Local weatherman last night said we are going into the highest temps (so far) of the summer ☀️ August in TX 🫠 I am thrilled to hear the internet is performing in most places - sure will help w/working while onboard.
  15. Congratulations @Heartgrove on the new family member.🥳
  16. First time to Naples was w/Princess for sister's birthday June 2017; pictures are on the computer, so none of those to post. The pizza was fabulous!! Was in the area Nov 8 '23 on NS w/DH for our anniversary cruise. We opted to not make the drive to Naples so DH could see Pompeii. I tried to select pictures I didn't post last time, but no promises, so apologies if any of these are duplicates. Due to a dock failure the night before we were scheduled to arrive, the itinerary was changed for us to port in Sorrento instead of Salerno. We did a 3rd party tour to Pompeii, drove the Amalfi Coast & stopped in Positano. Sorrento at tender port I give up - photos have stripped off 5 times and I'm frustrated. It was beautiful even though it was a cloudy, drizzly day.
  17. Yes, I am going. I may be sportin' a cane, but I will be there.
  18. Yes, thanks for asking. We changed them a few weeks ago when we had the a/c serviced; they're 90-day filters, but DH checked them yesterday just in case they needed changing.
  19. USA 🇺🇸is doing well in the Olympics today - YAY! Noah Lyles' photo finish in the 100m was awesome. We have increased pollen for which I don't need a weather app to know about - I am miserable. 🤧 have an allergy panel coming up on Sat and have to go a week w/o allergy pills to have it done. Ugh I think the left knee meniscus tear is getting worse - last night I couldn't walk from kitchen to LR and today I can't put any weight on that foot. I will see if I have Naples area pictures worthy of contributing - thanks to everyone for the beautiful ones you've posted. The Amalfi Coast is stunning. @puppycanducruise The ultrasonic rodent chirper arrived. DH will plug it in during a break from the Olympics and I'll keep you posted on how things go. It says not to use in high temperatures - um, attic + TX + summer = HOT.🤔🤷‍♀️ Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all.
