Happy to hear the flught was uneventful, train was a breeze and hotel let you check in early. Sounds like you're off to a great start.

I have done this - on the K'dam on deck 10 (as well as others) and lived. Even managed to enjoy the cruise! We do as @Stpatsirish said - extra bed goes away as soon as that person is up in the am and comes out again only at bedtime. The struggle tends to be the bathroom. But you can do it. Remember, there is always the spa available for larger showers and restrooms if you need them. I would keep the fabulous rate, enjoy DGDs company, and make some fabulous memories. They'll get it fixed for you onboard. Just be sure ypur boarding pass is correct so you can get on.

We have sent laundry out embarkation day many times and usually get it back the next day. We don't wait for dinner - we do a bag as soon as we get to the cabin (from our carry-on) and call for pick up. Then once luggage is delivered, we do another bag and call again for pick up. So, we usually send out 2 bags day 1. Safe travels- enjoy your cruise!

All Aboard was 5:30 w/sail away scheduled for 6. Looks like everyone behaved & complied as we left early. Ocean Cay is really beautiful; I would definitely come back. I went over this afternoon after I finished work; wasn't able to get here for lunch, so I can't comment on the food. They have a buffet and several food trucks - maybe next time. I stopped into each of the shops and only bought 1 thing that wasn't on my list (a coffee cup w/a sleeve). They have some beautiful jewelry - none coming home w/me, but very nice. I went to the closest bar for a couple drinks; I took water w/me from the ship. It's nice that your key card works for drinks & souvenirs - really adds value to the drink package. Something for the Garden Club. Next stop - Nassau.

Our late dinner on NS was 7:30 for Europe. It likely varies depending on your itinerary.

As seen from my balcony, here's the lighthouse at sunset and here it as at the end of the light show. Big miss on MSC - the Daily Program makes no mention of the Lighthouse Lightshow. I was aware of it from here on CC and found the times through an internet search. All Aboard is 11:30pm (we're here overnight); shows are at 9 & 10pm. One can even sit on the beach to watch - what a lovely way to spend an evening. It was fabulous from my balcony - music 🎶 🎵 and all. So sorry @bennybear about DH fall - glad he is ok. @kochleffel glad to hear you got your meds and hope they do their job quickly and effectively. Night 🌙 everyone.

Wait - OP @Red Haired Lady said her HAL Mariner number was changed to her Princess Captains Circle number, but you're saying it's the opposite for you?

May function differently using onboard vs not on a cruise, but I just looked at the app. There's an "about me" tab, then 2nd page of the emergency contact section shows DOB, place of birth (mine is blank) among other details. There is no "edit" button.

They caution you to be aware of what device you're using when you activate your plan as that's the device that gets to use it. And state in several places there's no switching between devices. So at least I was aware; I was just careless. I'm going to the internet kiosk when they reopen to see if I can add a 2nd device for just 1 day. Their daily rate is $34.99

We felt blessed to have such a beautiful day. Maybe HAL has pull w/the weather gods - it was opening day of their AK cruise season and there was a big celebration at the port which included local TV station, mayor, CoC, Miss WA & Miss AK and more. So they put in a special request for a perfect day 🤔 🫣 Or maybe it was the Universe giving DH a nice birthday gift (the cruise was partly for his BD) ☺️ Or maybe it was US Gifting YOU, lol 🥴 if that's it, we should plan to come more frequently. At any rate, we were thrilled, but in retrospect should have bought a lottery ticket 🎟 🙄

Thank you for the endorsement. We have been considering that, but the description was a bit ambiguous as it mentioned a tour of the Space Needle, but also stated attraction tickets were not included 🤷‍♀️ We will be using Port Valet (always & highly recommend) so no luggage other than carry-on; having a place to store the carry-on would be great.

It is MSC private island in the Bahamas - Ocean Cay 🌴🏖️ It is lovely, isn't it?! We overnight here, leaving at 6pm tomorrow evening. 😎

We've been to Seattle a few times, all for AK cruises. The only pictures I have are from last April/May on Eurodam. We don't "do" the city, so no attraction sites to post. Maybe in Oct as we're spending the day sightseeing before a 7pm return flight.🤷‍♀️ From our deck waiting to leave port April 29 '23. The weather was perfect! @Denise T we were on Eurodam - this will be your home in soon. I hope your weather is equally lovely. Regardless, I know you'll have a great cruise.

I took my swollen foot to brunch in between work calls. I thought the menu was nice. Brunch is today only; with an afternoon port arrival, I think they're kinda treating today like a sea day. Brunch hours were 8:30 - 1:30, so plenty of time for everyone to enjoy. It was busy. How much ketchup does 1 person need? For perspective, that's a large gravy boat. 4 people couldn't use that much ketchup, unless maybe a couple were kids who put ketchup on everything 🙄 The cappuccino was great! We were just docking as I was heading to my cabin (arrived a tad early). This is from the bar where I got water. And these are from my balcony. I should have a great view for the lighthouse show tonight. The internet has been working just fine; only a few short-lived hiccups, which I think is pretty wonderful considering we're on a ship moving through the ocean. No issues working and hosting Teams calls. I got the 1 device streaming plan, so I cannot switch between devices like we can on HAL. One snafu - I have a report to do tomorrow that involves a pretty intensive spreadsheet that I need to do on my computer; I activated my phone. Oops.. Today is more work from the balcony then if my swollen foot decides to unwell, I may go over to the island and walk around. I didn't plan on being over there for the lighthouse light show, I plan on watching it from my balcony, but who knows... Have a few nice pictures of the Sound from last May on Eurodam I will post separately. Prayers 🙏and positive thoughts for all.
