Breakfast this morning for Turnaround Day was in the Canal Grand, 3 aft. Wouldn't have gone had we known continental breakfast was available in Marco Polo where we met for customs clearance. Me - Broken egg sandwich (ordered hard fried, rec'd very runny; said extra crisp bacon, it was not), ham, Danish, melon, OJ, coffee. Sis - oatmeal, bacon, apple juice. Somehow her pix disappeared. Lady at next table - pancakes, hashbrowns, crisp bacon 🥓 OJ. Worse breakfast all cruise 😞

For those interested in the B2B process: *Meet in Marco Polo 9:30 - continental breakfast available *Check in - Diamonds right, non-Diamonds left *Receive new cards (Terrazzo sticker missing) - wasn't asked for the old one, didn't scan the old one; get picture taken *Joey (CD) stopped in to find out reason for delay & grab some grub; and he's out *OK, let's go - we're on the move. Time check is 10:14. *"Hi - right this way to scan, you can start a new line" - Face Req worked great 👍 👏 I got a green check mark first try (leave glasses on) *Wheel chairs left to elevator, everyone else walk up the stairs between the escalators. *Drug dog does not care about our rations *"Welcome back!!" *Full circle at Marco Polo - 10:38 = 24 min * Back in cabin 11:08am, 64° Took 24 min to do customs process, took 20 min to get back to cabin (navigate new pax getting on and limited elevators avail). Noticing more masks.

Oh no 😢 😕 😞 hope the Spring one is awesome and makes up for canceling.

@Hogladyrider Wind has now picked up (9pm) - thought it was gonna blow the door off when I opened it to see about taking another wake views w/lights in background. I came back in w/o a pic, lol. Rain stopped, fog cleared, 51°.

The "kindergarten walk" for the turnaround was delayed about 45 min. That delay & the rain changed our plans for today, but we've been busy and just got settled enough to to post. We like the adult milkshakes at Ellen's Stardust Diner (double yum for the mint chocolate chip), so we were a bit disappointed not to go. We reset our tastebuds and replaced it with an early dinner at Teppanyaki. I know, almost the same, right?🫣

I've now posted additional comments on there - we are very happy we're on this ship and fully support your decision to cruise Venezia!!

I figure if I'm up and there's something worth snapping, I might as well do it. 🤭

Agree with @Drose716 Teppanyaki was great - our favorite on the ship. I had steak and teriyaki chicken, which is not on the menu. 20230921_200030.mp4

Good morning, NYC!! It's Turnaround Day - we aren't changing cabins, but we will be getting off the ship to clear customs. We'll decide during breakfast if we"ll just come back on after doing "the kindergarten walk" or if we'll go out. We want to go to the singing waiter diner for lunch. https://www.ellensstardustdiner.com/ They have good food and it's the cheapest show on Broadway, lol. Mother Nature will decide for us; heavy rain = no go, light rain = diner food for lunch. Soooo glad to hear the pax for 2nd leg are getting on so they'll get their chance to explore this very different ship.

I feel good about it. Full disclosure, we didn't choose this ship, we booked almost 2 years ago (Dec '21) on Magic and were moved to this one. We still have so much exploring to do, good thing we have another week.

Currently on Venezia, staying on tomorrow for a B2B. Only negatives: few minor cosmetic maintenance issues, too much food/portions huge - lol, brought own ice 🧊 totes, no buckets. Those truly are all minor. The VERY strong cigarette smoke from 4 mid up to 7 mid is not minor; gave us itchy eyes, people coughed, Stewart says it bothers his breathing. It is so bad, we thought someone was smoking in their cabin 24x7. Postitives: crew extremely friendly, food good, wait times practically non-existent, embarkation & port pax traffic very efficient process. The early complaints of lack of a/c has been resolved as our worked fine.

Geez I hope Carnival makes more than 1 attempt to reach people. I'm glad you all are coming and anxious for the people who have not received the final update.

Lots of people ready at 9:30. I am never part of the Early Luggage group - I'm usually flying around the cabin like a possessed woman to make the deadline. I strive to be in the Early Luggage Club, but I do not know the secret code.
