Hi. We will be going on a cruise through the Greek islands in October on the Reflection. I am trying to decide private/local vs Celebrity excursions. Celebrity does not list the size of their excursions (regular, Captain curated or small group), nor are they rated. Some of the private tours will be quite pricey for 2 people, so I am trying to determine if it is worth (for example) $585 for the 2 of us to have a private tour of Olympia rather than going on the Captain Curated for $300 or the Destination Highlight for $116. If anyone could give me a sense of how large these different types of Celebrity excursions are that would be much appreciated. Thanks a bunch!

Thank you all for the loads of advice. I haven't booked the flight yet. I would love to figure out how to use Flights by Celebrity but unfortunately it refuses to play well with my computer or iPhone. I cannot get any of the flights to load in such a way that I can actually select one so that I can get to the return choices. I will try one-ways just to see what they offer. The 10:10 flight I was interested in taking goes to LHR, then from there a 2 hour + transfer time until the direct flight to San Diego. We have done this transfer 3-4 times before. Has it gotten worse since covid? I am looking into other alternatives including staying the night. It just would have been perfect if that was doable.

This is my first time taking a cruise so this is all new to me. I know from reading that it can take 2 hours sometimes after coming in to port to start letting people off the ship which would be around 7. How much leeway is usually needed? Airports have minimum connection times and while some people are okay with those, I usually like a buffer. What is the recommended buffer I guess is what I am asking? What do experienced cruisers consider the gold standard for a planned 5 a.m. docking time? We live on the west coast so there are less flight options later in the day for us. Thanks.

San Diego to Rome, then return Barcelona to San Diego. But even if I put in LAX to Rome, and Barcelona to LAX I am also getting fares that are all greyed. I just can't select anything. Oct 5 return Oct 19. Was looking at all classes of services for comparison purposes. And now for some reason I am locked out of my booking on Celebrity and that is sort of freaking me out, so...

Hi. Thank you Jim. Unfortunately, while it lets me search a few days before my flight, every possible price is greyed out. Tons of flight options, but I can't select any of them. I am wondering if there is some setting on my computer that is wrong, but the Flights by Celebrity agent was not able to help.

Hi. We are flying out of Barcelona after our October Celebrity Reflection cruise. The cruise is supposed to get into port at 5 a.m. Is a 10:10 a.m. flight doable and if yes, what is the best way? We are Aqua Class if that matters. The flight will go to London then connect to a flight to the states. Thanks!

Hi. I just booked my first cruise and am trying to use Flights by Celebrity but after I pull up my reservation, then change the arrival date for a couple of days earlier the website gives me a lot of options, but I cannot click on any of them. All the icons are greyed out, so I can't select the first flight to even see the return flight and get a total quote. Has anyone else run into this and if yes, have you figured out a solution? I called the phone number but they said they don't know anything about the website and could help me themselves. I would rather poke around and see my choices and possible fares first. Thanks in advance!

I want to be able to compare flights booked by myself with Flights by Celebrity, but I can't get the website to work. It shows fares, but I can't select any of them to get to the next flight in order to create a complete booking. Has anyone else had this issue? The buttons to select a flight are greyed out on every available flight. It's so odd. I called the number and the guy said he could help me but didn't know anything about the website. Thanks!

If you are in Aqua class so already have the classic package, how much does it cost to upgrade to the premium package? If you wanted to upgrade drinks and wifi would it be two separate upgrades? This is our first ever cruise, so all of this is new to us. Thanks!

This is reassuring. We will be on the Reflection in October for Greece/Malta cruise. This is our first ever cruise, and I really wavered on cruise line - looked into Viking, Seabourn and Windstar before picking Celebrity Reflection. I know it is not the newest in their fleet, but the itinerary for our anniversary was the most appealing and I wasn't sure how I would like the Edge veranda situation. We are also in Aqua class. I do have one question: how are lines? Are there loads of long lines to disembark for excursions, particularly if it requires a tender? Do you need reservations for Blu or do you just show up? Is it difficult to get reservations? Thanks and ENJOY!
