Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. When researching options for our port stop in Montevideo, I randomly found a horseback riding adventure on Airbnb under the "experiences" tab. The cost was only $20 for a 1 1/2 hour ride. I highly recommend this ride. The farm is out in the country and about a 20 minute drive from the port. It was very easy to get an uber. The horses are very well trained and gentle. We rode through a forest and on to the beach. We did a 10am ride. Had plenty of time to get back to the port, lunch on the ship, & then explore old town.
  2. We were in BA last week and found Uber to be very easy to use. We had no problem getting Ubers. It was so cheap!! No ride was more than $5 usd.
  3. Gosh I didn’t think about that !! But it won’t matter , we have decided not to rent a car either . We have pre booked a taxi that will take us to Tierra Del Fuego & wait while we visit the sites and take a few short hikes. It’s about the same cost as the car rental
  4. We have a car booked through Alamo. $120.
  5. Just saw on facebook that the visa requirement date has been extended until April . Anyone else have that info ?
  6. Appreciate this thread. We go in February and are planning to do Iguazu & Rio, so will deal with the extra cost of a visa. It's just the ease of the process that's concerning.
  7. We went with Ecoventura in 2019 when they were still using the older yachts (Letty). The trip was absolutely fantastic, and we loved the fact that there were only 20 people on the sailing. We also liked the fact that they sail from San Cristobal rather than Santa Cruz. We went in a few days early so my husband could do some scuba diving. San Cristobal was fun to explore. I highly recommend Ecoventura.
