Our boat doesn't even dock until like 5:30 p.m. and we have a Butchart Gardens tour that lasts four hours....

We leave from Seattle (Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Victoria)

See, if we're able to go directly to our room, why not just take our bags ourselves....

Yes, we were about to book a ridiculously-priced tour and then got word we were going to get that very one for free with DV, so yay!

Oh I've got them ready to go! I have been getting conflicting info - some folks saying we can take our own luggage onboard and put it in our rooms even if they aren't ready. That doesn't sound right. We board at 11:30 a.m. so I'm guessing our room will likely not be ready yet? IDK. I'd rather not hand our bags off to anybody unless we're going to be toting it everywhere for hours.

I have no idea where to find this X or non-X information. Yes, Distinctive Voyages is a perk from our travel agent that includes a free shore excursion at one of our ports. I just had read previous threads regarding DV excursions and no one ever mentioned if they were guaranteed to get us back on time, etc. That's really what I was looking for - my TA said she'd been on several herself and they were always good - but there was no info on getting back in time - we're only in this port for a short time and it looks like this tour encompasses nearly the entire time. Thanks!

This is what I'm worried about - our luggage getting to the right ship. I'm not going to be able to relax until all of our luggage arrives - how long did it take for yours? The last two cruises I've been on, we took our own stuff on.

I did a search for Distinctive Voyages here but didn't learn the one thing I was really looking for - are they guaranteed to get us back to the ship on time? We will be doing their free shore excursion on our June 28 cruise and the time estimate looks to maybe give us 15 mins to spare to be back on the ship for boarding. Are the free DV excursions ones that Celebrity will wait for if the tour gets us back late? Or should we just make sure we have our passports and hope for the best?

Yeah I finally figured out how to get into the “my trips” portion to access our other reservation. I’m not sure why our travel agent has two separate reservation numbers for our two connecting rooms but i have to toggle between them on the app, both staterooms won’t show up at the same time.

We're going to Alaska on the EDGE on June 28. We have two rooms/two reservation numbers for our family. I have the app on my phone and was hoping to be able to check us all in on my app/phone at the same time. Problem is - only one of our reservation shows up on my app. But when I log in on the laptop, both reservations are showing. In the app I was able to make dining reservations and excursion reservations for all four of us, but when it shows our booking number and stateroom, it's only one of the two. Celebrity customer service said everything shows up fine in the system and for me to delete/reload the app on my phone. Did all that, still only shows the one stateroom. Was hoping someone here might have a quick solution before I call their IT dept. The reservations are both linked to just my email address.

We had a similar issue when we first booked our cruise. My TA tried a fix that didn't work, so I called VV customer service myself and I guess got lucky to get a human and someone to help me fix it that same day over the phone. All good now. My only question is why you let more than a week go by without checking on it. There's no way I'd have let a week go by with no answers before escalating things. Hope everything gets situated for you and you can have a good cruise! Our first one is in less than a month, I'm excited.

Hi, headed on our first VV cruise in August (Dominican Daze). What are some of your favorite excursions there, and will the boat wait for you if you are late coming back (not due to any fault of our own)? I know when we previously cruise with Disney we were told not to book excursions through anyone else but the cruise line because those excursions required them to wait for you to return. Outside companies? They would leave you if you weren't back in time. Thoughts?

Ok. Loot can be used for drinks but bar tab money cannot be used for anything but the bar tab. Gotcha. Thank you. I'm reading I should book excursions early, but I want to use my loot to do it. Should I wing it and hope stuff isn't full or just do it ahead of time?

What "health screen" can you fail? If no testing or vaccination check is happening, are you answering questions or what?

I have only cruised one other time, (Disney) and our first VV is coming up this summer. We don't plan to check bags on the flight and will just have a backpack and a small roller bag each. Can we not just roll/carry our own stuff to our rooms ourselves if there is no waiting on if our room is ready or not?

So you can only add in $300 increments? And the "loot" cannot be used for drinks?
