Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We booked Bonsai Teppanyaki by booking the three of us in our cabin and added four additional seats. You could probably do the same for the steakhouse. When I look at the booking it shows our three names and then four other slots that just list TBD instead of names.
  2. Do they do any sort of trick or treating for the kids?
  3. Anyone know what the difference is between the dinner and lunch at Bonsai Teppanyaki?
  4. I have only been on two cruises (I'm booked for next year on the Mardi Gras though) so I probably don't have enough experience to really weigh in on this, but I'll give my personal observations on my admittedly limited experience. One cruise was a 7 day on the Disney Fantasy just before covid started and the other was a 7 day on the Carnival Legend out of Baltimore last november. All I can say is that the Disney cruise had the rudest, most entitled, selfish, unhappy and unfriendly people, while the people on my Legend cruise were friendly, happy and lovely. On the Disney cruise, grown women pushed my then 4 year old out of the way to get to talk to princesses first and on the Legend we had many people come up to my kid and give her rubber duckies and trophies they'd just won at trivia. The Disney people may have paid at least 3 times as much for their cruise than their carnival counterparts, but they certainly were not a better class of people. If the happy, friendly and fun people from my Legend cruise are considered 'boorish' then I think I'd prefer to hang out with the boors.
  5. Or maybe they are not 'genteel' enough to have noticed. 😬
  6. That's only if you are having an embarkation wedding, which we are not. We are getting married at sea on the second day.
  7. How much did it cost? Normally I wouldn't be bothered to get FTTF, but next year we are getting married at sea on the Mardi Gras and are thinking about getting it so that we can drop off our carry on in the room right away instead of carrying it around with us. We'd be carrying on my wedding dress, silk bouquet, his suit and of course our wine and whatever else. Am I correct in thinking this is how FTTF works?
  8. My cruise isn’t until 2024 so this is not urgent, but when I click on spa/salon in my cruise manager it shows zero results. When I click on any spa treatment I do see in the “recommended for you” ads throughout the carnival site it just brings up an error banner saying “Sorry, this product is not available for your sailing.” I’ve never seen this before and when I first booked my cruise I didn’t have this issue.
