  1. Star on Sunday I think, Dawn is in Belfast today
  2. Got an update from my TA after asking specifically about Livorno issues, and to at least make her company aware of the issues with NCL in other ports, she confirmed with her contact at NCL and they’ve advised there are no restrictions at all. Also said that if there were any changes they’d always send out an email in advance… wonder how people on the Dawn/Star/Breakaway/Gem would feel about that statement 😂 clear as mud 🙃
  3. Don’t count those chickens just yet… if anything has been proven here so far it’s that NCL messaging is all over the place so there’s a high chance it isn’t fixed. Dawn is in Belfast tomorrow so we’ll see
  4. Seems PCCs have been getting some updated info - at least hopefully. no more issues in UK ports… we’ll have to keep an eye on upcoming sailings and port visits to confirm but seeing more and more postings saying the same thing
  5. Southampton is a large port - all of these lines have been operating in UK ports that NCL have restricted alcohol in the time we’ve been talking about it.
  6. The point was that it contradicted the previous statement from NCL saying that they wouldn’t charge the taxes on beverage package drink orders
  7. Yeh Epic today and Breakaway on Thursday. MSC Magnifica in today too, I’ll check in the MSC Facebook group if there’s any restrictions in Livorno.
  8. Ahh yes it makes much more sense that P&O, Cunard, MSC, Royal Caribbean, Viking, Hurtigruten, Princess, Celebrity etc are all in the wrong and breaking the law and NCL are the only ones diligently observing whatever this new unheard of law is 🤣
  9. Going ashore doesnt really work if you want a glass of wine with your dinner, or a cocktail before the show… Harvest Caye isn’t an issue since NCL don’t own or run it unlike other lines private islands. The UK sailings were denied a drink, paid or otherwise.
  10. We’ll see what happens tomorrow with Dawn in Belfast and then again and Star and Dawn get back to Southampton. There seems to have been mixed messages received by various agents contacting NCL - some saying no alcohol, only beverage packages, only beer/wine, no issues at all… who knows 🤷🏼‍♂️
  11. The only factual pieces of information we have are the signs posted on the ship blaming “port regulations”, the statement from NCL saying they don’t know what port regulations will or won’t be applied at any given port until they arrive (yeh right). The statement from NCLs Southampton port agent. Anything else has either come from independent research or hearsay from an officer - can’t be taken as an official statement. so 2 weeks on from the first issues being reported in the Dawn, we’re no closer to figuring out what the situation is going forward, or what the reasons for the issues experienced so far
  12. If you think this is the best NCL can do to fix/explain the issue then I’d really hate to be on the receiving end of their failures in your opinion.
  13. currently posted on the Epic out of Barcelona… charging 10% taxes on purchases including if you have a package. NCL changing their minds all over the place this summer
  14. currently on Epic out of Spain - back to a previous discussion on here about mischarging the tax when on a package. NCL really don’t seem to be doing themselves any favours with all these dodgy rules in different ports
  15. That makes no sense at all… and the no refunds or partial refunds is a joke
  16. Still remains to be seen if it is actually fixed… Dawn last week had no issues in Scotland, so we’ll see in Liverpool, Belfast and then Southampton again.
  17. Dawn isn’t going to Stockholm tomorrow… it’d take minimum 2 days to get there its already due to go to non-UK ports with stops in Dublin and Cork
  18. Thanks, I was following that sailing and was trying to find the post about it but couldn’t easily - the poster was more excursions focused than NCL dodgy dealings… understandably so 🤣
  19. Still very early in the season, not sure anything has gone over there just yet, will probably find out next week with breakaway, it’s only just finished it’s TA
  20. Breakaway was in Livorno and Civitaveccia this past week and had the notices
  21. Livorno, Civitaveccia, Trieste and Greek ports have all had the dreaded notices. I think a lot of the frustration is the lack of consistency and lack of clarity from NCL.
  22. The world has sadly shifted toward my team vs your team… your team are 100% wrong about everything all the time. It’s infected so many areas of life now and I don’t see how we go back.
  23. A few errors in the article. First reported on Dawn 4/05 not Star 11/05 and seemingly not impacting Scottish ports
  24. Was in MSC recently and saw a 3 night for $89 + taxes
